Made in Switzerland. Serial Number 189893. Purchased by my collector husband in 2004. It appears to be complete. It has a carrying handle on the unit itself. A metal, protective canister and an orange heavy plastic carrying case with scuff marks. It has obviously been used, apparently in New York judging from stickers. There are 3 bulbs and a cable included. Attached at the bottom. Underneath the unit are additional(what appear to be) eye pieces and a plunger to activate. Also to be included is a CD of the Manual for a T2 and T16 apparently downloaded from the wild-heerbrugg web-site. The previous seller who acquired it through auction of a large lot purchase wrote he"looked at the scope closely and tried all the adjustments and can honestly say it has been well cared for and everything functions very well. Offered is this classic 1955 Wild Heerbrugg universal theodolite serial number no. 40338 with original bomb or bullet case with leather straps and working snaps and the padded transit safety carry case. The T2 was Manufactured from 1926 To 1970. Visit their website wild-heerbrugg for historic information and providence. THEODOLITE WILD HEERBRUGG Mod T2 transit
This Swiss made precision Wild T2 theodolite came from the estate of a collector and we must confess to knowing nothing about these types of instrument. But I can say it looks to be in excellent cosmetic condition. Everything works as far as we can tell and the optics look very clean. In fact it looks absolutely gorgeous in its vintage enamel finish and would be a wonderful display/collectors piece if you appreciate fine optical instruments. I have no idea of how to use it and whether or not it needs calibration or even if it is complete. It does look complete. Sold as pictured but otherwise AS IS.
