Come with its red carrying case that snaps onto the base of it. The instrument is in good vintage condition and the carrying case is solid. The handle is holding fast. Serial number is 106228. This tool was obviously used. Like I said it is in good vintage condition but there are some indicators of its age. The case especially is worn with a lot of the paint scraped off and some oxidation on the metal fixtures. The tool itself has some surface wear and slight oxidation here and there. The glass has some discoloration but still looks alright. I am not an expert on this kind of tool, however I don't see any substantial damage to it. FEATURES: This used Crain transit is made of lightweight. Heavy gauge aluminum. The large head provides a stable mounting base. It also has replaceable shoe points. Included is a heavy-duty poly-webbing shoulder strap. Collapsed, the transit is about 3' tall and fully extended, is is about 6' tall. The included 16' Crain CR Series leveling rod has four sections graduated in ft/10ths/100ths. The top of the first section is cracked on two sides and will eventually break off unless it is stabilized some ... moreway. It was stabilized by a piece of duct tape. However, that has been removed. The rod is currently functional(Extends and locks into place) and with your reinforcement, could continue use for some time. Craftsman Transit& Tripod. Surveyors& Construction Model. It has Tilt and Azimuth. It is great for building and construction or for surveying. The level vile is clear and precise. The focus works just like it should and the image through the glass is fine. I bought this unit new quite a few years ago. It is a one owner tool. It has been well taken care of. The transit has some paint rubs where it rubbed in the case. But no damage that I know of. The tripod has some paint rubs. Scrapes& scratches but is in good usable condition. It has wear that is normal for a tool that has been used. It all works as it should and it has the TILT function which makes it very useful for surveying. Depending on where you live the shipping will vary. Check the USPS shipping calculator. I will ship this in two separate boxes. SHIPPING COST! Fabulouse original condition on the Transit all bright and clean with very minor paint loss.Wooden case is solid with only minor cosmetic damage.I do have the legs to thisTransit if you would like to have them it would be additional charge for shipping.
