David White Company 1950 Universal Level Transit This surveying tool comes with it's own carrying/storage case. The wooden box is tongue and groove with a latch on the front that holds it closed. The leather strap and buckle go across the top for carrying. The box was painted red. With one side being grey. The bottom has rubber bumpers so it doesn't sit flat on the ground. I shows some wear giving this antique a unique look. It works like it's supposed to, storage/carrying. Dimensions of box: 14"L x 11 1/4"H x 6 3/4"W The suveying tool is in quite good condition. It swivels. The scope moves up and down, and the knobs turn quite smoothly. The bottom is threaded so it can be placed on a tri-pod.
