Here we have a Vintage David White Meridian Realist Model 8080 Transit Level with Case. Made in Menomonnee Falls. Wisconsin. This level is in good working condition. Paint is very good. I see no scuffs on the paint on the instrument. Will come off the base to go on a tripod. The black base does have scuffs and discoloration. The case does have a crack on one side and is quite scuffed up. Instrument is fine. The case does have a a number on the top which is M 714453 which matches the base of the instrument. This transit just had a calibration check and is still dead on and did not need any adjustments. The transit/level was purchased new and still looks and works like brand-new. This unit was only used occasionally for quality assurance inspections and has never been in daily construction use. All adjustments and rotation are extremely smooth. Included with the transit is the original plastic case nearly new condition. Locating plumb bob, instruction manual, calibration procedure, and the standard metal and wood David White tripod. The tripod has some places where the paint has been scratched off but other than that is fully functional.

This is a useful vintage David White Meridian surveyor's transit made by Realistic. Menomonee Falls, Wis. It is in working condition with some wear to it. Rust on several areas and missing what I think is a Plumb Bob(there is an empty clip attached to base) Item with cover is approx. 15" side clip to clip. Oval base is about 14 1/4" x 5 1/2" Base is black and instrument is grey with a red cover. Overall it is approx. 15"x5"x9"h. Instrument is approx. 7 1/4" high with a level on top. Carry handle is black plastic. It is a Model 8080. Please, scan the pictures carefully to ascertain description. Instrument rotates easily on base.
