Do see a little glaze spot on one side of the large side of scope when looking at it on the outside. Doesn't affect looking thru it though it as it is clear. No cracks or breaks, Not sure how it goes together or if there is something lacking. Has the level on the top. It's in okay shape with some wear and very dirty, as pictured. Not seeing any mold or moisture issues. Comes with a Dow Realist 5/8" Tribach adapter 739 3 in good shape. There are a total of 5 pieces in this box, as shown. Based on the foam shapes inside case, it looks like it might have come with more pieces. Not sure. AGL label fell off the scope but can be reglued. Comes in a nice dark wood box ... morein good shape with some scratches and also dirty. Foam padding inside is deteroriated and also dirty. Latches and handle are fine. Included is the orginial manual of instructions,for use and care of the unit.Parts diagram and cross section view of unit level. No scuffing or loss of finish to level. The carrying case is dove tailed and in good condition but missing it's leather shoulder strap,measures 12"long 8" high and 4" wide. The transit level is in good working order. Please look at picture marked with star and arrow. This does have the original front brass lens cover The optics are clear and all the adjustments are working oracle. The level glasses are intact. The case is also a David White the sticker on it reads for a model 8300. So its not the organelle case for this transit this probably had a wood case but I am not sure. Has light dirt, scratches, and ware throughout. All glass is intact. Levels work well, along with compass. Transit itself is not marked, only compass is. This is how I aquired it. Sheet of paper on shipping/damages was issued from White Company and in the box. I do not know what model this is, or anything about this item. All knobs turn. No cracks. Needs a cleaning. Box is intact. It is dirty mostly on inside, and does have a few cracks to it that go through box. Box is very strong tho. Latch works well and is tight. This listing is for a very nice David White level-transit surveying scope. This is model 8300 and in great condition. This particular model is supposedly the best transit level made. I think it's from the 1960s. This is a beautiful piece for work or display. Great for the steampunk fans. It has lots of brass fittings and trim and would be lovely polished up. It comes in a heavy duty wooden case with a very sturdy carrying strap. Everything seems to be in good working order. All pieces move smoothly with no effort. The pictures just don't show how nice this is.

This offering is for a Vintage Charvoz Carsen Corp 18" transit# No. 58.7718. The serial number is 5013 which is shown on both the box and transit. This item is in very nice condition. However the box has seen better days. It is scratched/ scuffs and the strap is broken. Regarding the strap the buckle is fine and if you are handy the strap can be easily repaired. The clasps on the box work fine and the box is still very usable. The package weighs quite a bit.
