Vintage Heathkit Model MM1 Ohm Meter in Bakelite Case Untested INV8880 Here we have a Heathkit ohm meter. I have not tested it. It looks to be in good condition. Please see the pictures. I recently came across a box of vintage electronics and test equipment. This is not my area of knowledge and in many cases I lack the means to test this equipment. I will give you my honest assessment but that’s the best I can do. Please buy with this mind. Please note that most of the items I have for sale are used/vintage goods. Vintage Heathkit Portable Electrical MultiMeter Tester by Heath - Works!!
Recently acquired- I installed a C battery. Tested other batteries and resistance on Christmas lights. It worked GREAT! While opened to install the battery. I found that all the terminations and electronics looked great. See pictures. Because the box is aluminum. The paint has flaked off of the top in some spots. C battery not included. May cause damage if installed during shipping. Measures approximately 4 1/2" high and weighs just over 1 pound. See pictures and item condition for more details. Current, resistance and db ranges to cover practically any service requirement. Requiring no external source of power, the MM-1 uses standard flashlight batteries that are easily replaced when necessary, making it equally useful on the test bench or on service calls. Maximum accuracy is assured on all ranges by the use of 1% precision resistors and the large 4½" 50 microampere meter has more than enough sensitivity for even the lowest voltages on the 1.5 volt scale(a single volt on the lowest range will produce a meter ... moredeflection of 2¼" The many features of the Heathkit VOM include a polarity reversing switch to eliminate transferring of test leads when alternately measuring positive and negative voltages and recessed test jacks to minimize shock hazard. The meter is preassembled to the panel and is provided with a close-fitting case to keep out dust and protect internal components. This VOM is easy to build with the complete instructions supplied. All components are attached directly to the front panel. Batteries can be snapped in or out in a matter of seconds. Resistor"rings" eliminate excessive handling of switch contacts during construction and provide rugged mountings for the precision components. Vintage Heathkit IM-11 VTVM Vacuum Tube Volt Meter
This meter was resurrected from a ham radio bundle. It had no tubes. No porbe. I had a little look and found some NOS tubes amongst my spares thus installed Tubes: 12AU7. 6AL5. new old stock, never have been used before! From the first 2 pictures. You can see that even the original light(top-middle, above the meter) works! The meter glass(plastic) is in nice condition outside of a small clack toward the top/middle area. With the bare wire(where a probe should be) I check for continuity via the OHMS setting(see picture number 1) and also tested a battery(see picture number 2) That is all of the testing that I have done. As these are Heathkit(KIT. Assembled by somebody outside of a factory) this is sold"as-is" with no returns. 2 Vintage Heathkit V-7A & V-6 Vacuum Tube Voltmeters Estate sale find
Selling a pair of Heathkit voltmeters in rough condition. One has a cracked faceplate and the power cord has been lengthened. This is the V-6, the other one is a V-7A and is missing the two screws on the back. Both do light up when plugged in and turned on. Please look closely at all the pics and know that there is damage from normal wear and tear and a dent or two so they may or may not work, they are in as is condition. This item has not been tested• Approximately 8.5" H(including handle. 7.5" H not including handle) x 5.5" L x 3.75" W Weighs just under 3# Face is intact• All dials turn freely• Handle is worn but intact• Scratches noted• Some variations in paint noted. Maybe can be shined up or buffed out? Cables are not attached. The metal part that connects the cables to the meter are stuck in holes. And could not remove the metal ends easily(see picture) Cables are cracked. Be sure to check out all of the pictures as they are an important part of the description. Selling as found for decor.
