Includes what appears to be the original test leads. One(1) extra fuse, and a copy of the instruction manual, which I found online. ITEM CONDITION: This multimeter appears to be in good clean overall condition. It has some minor cosmetic scuffs. Stains and scratches but I don’t see any cracks. The battery compartment is in good condition but does have some corrosion. The original foam on the battery compartment door has crumbled away, so I have substituted a temporary piece of foam(not attached) to cushion the battery. The Bakelite Rolltop Case is in good condition with some cosmetic scuffs, stains and scratches. The rolltop cover is functional. I installed D and 9V batteries and the unit appears to be working. I don’t know how to thoroughly test this unit. But it does measure battery voltages accurately and does appear to measure resistance. ONE OF THE WIRES HAS THE ALLIGATOR CLIP BROKE OFF THE END BUT IT IS THERE. THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT IS CLEAN WITH NO CORROSION IT DOES HAVE A CHIP IN THE SIDE AS SHOWN IN THE PHOTO. This is a beautiful outfit with alligator clips that fit over the terminals. The two leads and clips fit down into a compartment below so this unit can be completely closed. This Simpson Multi-meter works and is in nice condition. It is an earlier model but as the pictures show it reads voltage and ohms. The leather carry case shows signs of age. As do the leads, but are still in nice working condition. The battery in the meter is good. It is vintage and used with no guarantees. This is a Simpson Model 260-2 Analog Multimeter. The meter has been tested and is functional. There case needs cleaning and there are various decals and other markings on it. The case does not have any cracks. The interior of the case is clean but there is evidence of prior battery leakage in the D cell bay. There is a fuse above the D battery holder that I do not see in other photos of the 260-2. The AA battery clips are included as well as the original case. The meter movement is in excellent condition. It moves smoothly and the adjustment works properly. The meter is being sold as is.

Simpson 260 with Sipson padded case electrical test meter
This Simpson 260 test meter was refurbished by an electrical engineer and given the green light for service. I do not know what"series" it is. It comes with probes and a Simpson padded case that makes it drop proof! This meter does have a chip on one corner. It actually cracked the whole face! But the face was replaced and the fuses replaced along with other refurbishment. I have not had any problems with this meter once I got the padded case. So much better and peace of mind! It has served me well. I am no longer in the biz and need to get bills paid. Sad to see this meter go, but my loss is your gain! This is an incredible meter. This is the best and last meter you will need to purchase!

Simpson 262 Volt Ohm Current Multi Meter for PARTS
Here is a Simpson model 262 multimeter that dates from around the 1960's. The meter is in poor condition but still has some good components that may serve to restore another meter back to its originality. Unfortunately the actual meter movement has issues: the needle is bent at its end; there are small flecks of paint coming off the white background and the needle sometimes sticks at midscale-possibly caused by the flecks of paint getting into the needle pivot mechanism. There is also a broken back cover screw and a couple of the other screws are bent. Plus there is a small chipped area in the front cover corner. The rear cover is fully intack, no chips or cracks in the bakelite, but there are a number of scratches and markings. So, overall this meter is in very rough shape and really only good for parts, but it's one of those items ... moreI'd hate to throw away because maybe someone needs a knob or resistor or jack or some other no-longer-availble part.
