Vintage 1959 Bakelite Simpson Model 260 Series 3 Multimeter Needs Love- Works! This MultiMeter is in fair condition as it has been partially refurbished. There was a problem at some point with leaked batteries. I cleaned out corrosion with lemon juice to neutralize the alkaline and the battery terminals are now working properly. As you can see in the last two pictures. The needle moves when testing a battery. I wasn't planning on including the leads as they're not in the best shape, but I decided to include them at the last minute. This is a beautiful old meter. The needle is broken off, but as you can see, it still works. With the needle repaired/replaced and a new piece of glass covering the meter itself, this will look Great! Up for sale is this great looking and in perfect working FLUKE 85 Series 3 Multimeter. The Fluke 80 series of multimeters are the industry standard in multimeters. I purchased this multimeter for my personal use. However I recently acquired an 87 series 5 multimeter and I no longer need this one. Please take a look at all the pictures provided. The unit works perfectly and has minor scratches on the LCD window(not the LCD display) and has a broken screw post but other than that it's in great shape. Simpson 260 Series 3 VOM T he unit is used however it’s in very good physical condition. It is fully functional other than the Rx1000 Resistance Range does not zero. The meter dial is clear and all the labeling for the controls and jacks are present. Internally the meter looks excellent and the case is in very good condition except for a few cosmetic handling marks. No cracks or chips. The cables are not included. VINTAGE Simpson 260, Series 3, Volt OHM AMP Meter
Ladies and Gentlemen. Up for your bidding, is my used Simpson, Series 3, 260 Volt Ohm Amp meter. I took the back off and there is no battery leakage damage. I've tested it on 110v and 240v AC and both read correctly. The 6 volt and 12 volt tests were approximately 10% low according to my cheap Harbor Freight digital VOM. The OHMS test worked well except for the OHMS x 1 mode would not zero. The original leather case is missing the top. Finally, there is one chip on the backside visible in the pictures. Simpson model 260 Series 3. DC and AC works, Zero ohms adjust ok, R X 1, R X 100 are ok. Will not zero on R X 10.000(but almost) I don't know its history, no manual or test leads. Needs to be calibrated. One knob is broken, still works. Crack on bottom and top left, piece missing on top left corner. Missing 4 screws that holds the case together. The battery terminals have been cleaned, may need more cleaning. One terminal is homemade. The meter face and glass are good. Meter movement is good. Buyer to pay S&H on 4# from 48111.
