This Simpson 260-8PRT is in excellent condition. This unit with the roll top case presently sells for@ 380.00. The rt case has no chips. Cracks or engravings. It includes leads/clips, batteries and the operators manual. The overvoltage protection feature is well worth having. Please Note: Do not bid if you have a" 0" or several negative feedbacks without contacting me first or I will cancel your bid. Note: The Simpson 260's I place on Ebay are not. as is" condition unknown"untested" seem to work" etc. Most units listed as such usually require extensive repairs and many times are only good for parts. Even the so called" New" units I have acquired usually have a problem or require calibration. My units are cleaned, meter movement balanced, parts replaced where required and completely tested. Major ... moreblemishes and repaired cracks are noted. Most units look like new and include leads( 25.00) and copy of operators manual. The units I list are for the serious tech or collector. I have shipped well over 500 units with no returns and complete customer satisfaction. Please check my feedback. FYI; A refurbished Simpson can serve you as well as new for two major reasons. Unlike jewel movement meters. Taut band movement have no jewels that get erratic or stick in one position. The taut band has what could be considered a floating needle with no friction points. NOS SIMPSON 260 Series 7 in a roll top safety case
This is a NOS Simpson 260 Series 7. Housed in a Simpson Roll Top Safety Case(Catalog No. 00248) As you can see from the close up pics of the battery compartment, this unit has never had batteries installed, and has never been used. I am listing it as"used" just because it is older, but I can assure you it has only been out of the box long enough for me for me to take these photos. The tester itself is a normal 260 Series 7. The additional Safety Case simply screws to the existing case. Using threaded holes that already exist in the case of the tester. The back of the case comes off(2 small screw on the side) to access the battery compartment. The test leads are in good/ soft/ flexible condition. And show no signs of ever being used.
