It has a platinum thermocouple connected to a built-in internal digital temperature readout. Input power can be adjusted by turning a small screw on the controller panel. It works, but some controller functions no longer work and the thermocouple wires have corroded somewhat at the terminal block. Power will automatically throttle down as the preset temperature is approached. I used it for over 15 years for making high temperature alumina porcelain marbles. This is a high power custom built tube furnace with 5" ID and 40" of length. We do not know who made it or what the exact temperature range is. But we do know that there are two heater coils inside each measured at 0.9 ohms. Using the measured resistance of 0.9 ohms per coil, putting the coils in series, and assuming a voltage of 240 would be used, the heaters would draw 133 amps and produce 32 kW. The rating sounds high although the element coils are packed tightly so the overall element length would be very long. We do not know the actual specs of the heaters. Blue M CW-6680F Oven For sale- a Blue M Model CW-6680F Oven. This particular Blue M also says that Blue M is a unit of General Signal. And I have never run across a Blue M product that says that and I see them all the time. So I think this is a fairly recent vintage product although now it looks like Blue M is part of TPS Thermal Product Solutions. Serial number CW-795 if that tells you anything. I usually don’t get too worked up about the big Blue M ovens. Most of the time they look pretty tired by the time they get to surplus and the logistics of handling and shipping them are an added complication. But this one looked so nice I decided to make an exception(I think most of what you see in the picture of the interior is just dust and should wipe away) And I was struck by how hot this thing can get. 1300 degrees F, which is really high by ... moreoven standards so perhaps furnace is a more apt description. It is of course 3 phase which always makes testing a challenge. And if I am reading the label correctly it is looking for 25 amps on each of the three legs, so presumably that would require 75 amp service? So I don’t know that I will be able to test it even for power. When I retrieve it it will be stored in a building with 3 phase. But I just rent space there and it’s an ongoing business, so access to a suitable outlet may be an issue. I can’t just say excuse me. I am going to unplug your lathe so I can test my oven. So maybe I will be able to power it up at some point. Maybe not. So for now it is completely untested. Sold as is, and NO warranty is offered. However.
