Up for bid is an Across International 15KW(model IH15AB) portable electric induction heater with everything you see in the pictures. This is the largest single phase unit you can get and it runs on 220 volt single phase. I bought several from a test facility and was told they were used on one experiment and then surplussed. It should be a 2011 or 2012 model by the info I got from them. But not sure how to tell exactly(probably serial# It has the connectors for connecting the generator to the transformer. One of the leads has a crack in it and can be taped up as the crack is in the plastic and not in the wire. The coil will need the little brass fittings that are at any hardware store. Also you will need water lines and they are also available at any hardware store. It will also need a power cord. These minor items needed are typical when ... morebuying these, but I just want to be clear. I am no expert on these units so you may want to call the company if you have technical questions. What I do know is that these units are very versatile and can be used for many different purposes like forging, melting, casting, soldering, welding and brazing. It is overall in pretty decent cosmetic condition with the normal scuffs and scratches on the exterior. I did not really notice any issues with the physical condition that would cause functional problems. The door closes and latches well. See photos below for an exact details on the condition of everything. The furnace needs to be directly wired up to be used. We wired it up and tested it out. We ran a full program and it seemed to heat up and cool down properly. It did seem to heat up quicker than it cooled down. Thought this may be normal. I can't guarantee the accuracy of the temperature of the furnace.
