This Thermolyne1500 furnace. Has the normal wear from use, with the inside being chipped and the burn marks on the outside. We plugged this unit in and flipped the switch. The green light came on, we then turned the knob all the way up. We then waited about 10 minutes and checked to see if it was putting out any heat, which there wasn't. We don't know what is wrong, so it is going to be sold AS-IS. I did notice that two of the screws are missing from the two bottom feet. The feet come with it, but are not installed. SYBRON Thermolyne 1400 Table top Furnace FB1415M
Here I have a working Sybron Thermolyne 1400 Table top Furnace beleived to be model FB1415M. Came from a Soil Lab and used for testing organic content in soil sample. The gauge cover is missing and the needle on the gauge is damaged. The gauge will need to be replaced as you will not be able to determine the correct output because of the damaged needle. That looks like an easy fix if you can get another replacement gauge. The furnace heats up great. There is a etching on the top from an engraver for inventory of lab equipment. That does not effect the operation of the unit. Has burned off paint above the front door as you see in the photo's. This is common with these furnaces. This item is in good cosmetic condition with some minor wear including scuff marks and scratches. The function buttons and connections are in good condition. The heating chamber is in good condition with no cracks. The top of the item is burn and a bit rusted. Please refer to the photos below for more details on the item. This item was plugged in and powered on. The control light and power light both came on but flickered. We set the item to the maximum temperature(2200F) and let the item sit for around 30 minutes. We used an inferred thermometer to measure the internal temperature and it read 438 degrees F. We left the item on for another 10 minutes and it read 621 degrees F.
