Well. Being that this is made by the"Williams Gold Refining Company" I expected that they would build gold refining ovens. And since this conveniently fits four standard assay crucibles at one time perfectly. Heh, you would think it would do the job, NOPE! Seems to be a low temperature curing oven. The temperature gets up to around 500 degrees, and it makes me wonder if the company didn't start out building gold refining ovens but simply slap in cooler elements for different purposes. Who knows. The company is long defunct and this is a vintage furnace. I know this should appeal to a lot of people who are not able to set up a huge kiln for doing pottery. I should think that it is sufficient for pottery since I was able to bake borax into a quite hard mass with it. I can only imagine that it would make clay set pretty good too. ... moreI really don't know, but it is just my guess. Otherwise, I don't know what such a low temp oven is good for but I am sure someone out there can either modify it for more heat or else adapt it to some use they might have. I should have asked ahead of time how hot it got, but well, when you see a good deal and are in a hurry you get what you pay for, and I am being brutally honest with the details here. I need to sell it, even if at a loss. I am starting at $99.95 with $34.95 shipping(It will not fit in a flat rate box so yeah, that bites. It has a middle shelf. Ceia USA High Frequency Induction Heater System. Power supply is Powercube 45/900 producing 3.5 KW using 230 VAC drawing 16 Amps max. The controller is a model Power Controller V2. The high power water circulation pump is a Procon set at 60 psi. Also running on 230 VAC. Included are two foot pedal switches wired to a connector that attaches to the rear of the controller module. The system comes with one connected induction coil and 10 others as can be seen in the photo. This system was removed from an industrial environment and was in operating condition. As far as I can tell all the hoses and electrical connections required to get this system running are all included. I currently do not have 230 VAC electrical outlet to test this further. This is a used older vintage kiln or furnace- not sure of proper name- It was owned by my grandfather whom passed. I do not know the year it was manufactured. My grand mother told me he only used it a couple times tand sat for years and years- and since has sat in corner of basement. has light surface rust. The plug is frayed-broken insulation in few spots- I did plug it in anyway- the read and green lights lit right up and it got very hot fast- temp guage rose accordingly- The inside is clean and not broken- the elements look great, just the outside needs attention.I would recomend high heat paint- in need of going over painting proper testing and new plug- this is not a toy- I will accept no returns- It may something or it may work fine- I just dont know. like I said it got hot and lit up- Please see actual photos. s/h packing in USA only- ... moreitem is heavy and will be shipped UPS ground at rate of $65.80. This tube type furnace is about 30 inches long and weighs about 70 pounds or so. It is both 110 and 230 volts and heats up fine. I don’t have a thermometer that can measure that high. But it does hear up. It has a glass tube that fits inside of the furnace. I cannot promise that this tube will make it to you without breaking. I will pack it as best I can. But I doubt it will survive UPS. The furnace does not have a temperature regulation or an on/off switch. You just plug it in and away you go. This will not carry a return warranty. This is a Lindberg Tube Furnace for laboratory material processing with 3 heating zones. It can reach temperatures of up to 1200 Degrees Celsius. It runs on 240V power. You are buying only the core of the furnace that includes the heating elements. Thermocouples, and insulating refractory body. If you want, I will include the outdated/nonfunctioning power controlling unit for free. I have included pictures of both pieces. I have no way of testing the core, but it appears to be in good shape. The right handle is a little bent, but functional. Sold as is. I am guessing it weighs around 350lbs.
