Up for auction is a Buckingham 601L tree lowering device or port-a-wrap. It has a working load of 2000lbs. It uses up to a 3/4" rope and weighs 7.25lbs. It is powder coated black and made of steel. I am also including a 3/4"x 4' x 8' Whoopie Sling and a 5/8" x 3' x 6' Loopie Sling. I bought all of these items new from a tree supply retail store to use on 1 tree job where the trees were very close to the customer's house. They have a total of about 10 small branches that were lowered using them. As you can see by the photos there is almost no wear on any of these items. Small stamp on end" USMC" My guess is United States Marine Corp. Not sure of age or who stamped USMC? Was not able to find out any history about it. This tree trimming equipment was owned by my grandfather who did tree work in the 1980's. They have been in storage since the mid 1990's. This is quality leather equipment made mostly by Buckingham Co. There are 2 sets of tree climbers one he used the other has not been used they are both Buckingham 1225 the metal is 14 1/2 inches long. There are 2 tree straps that are 79 inches long. 1 has been used the other still has the paper tags from Buckingham still intact. There are 4 Buckingham model 3922, again 1 set used the other not. There are 8 straps that are 23 inches long. All equipment has been stored in the basement and is in good condition. You are welcome to do a local pick up.
