I have been in the buying and selling business for years, I am 65 myself and this was the first time I had the opportunity to by this tool. I could not pass it up. He said that the wood may not look that good but this thing had a lot of log rolling left in it. This is an old pulp hook which is used in the lumber trade. But can and often is used as a hay hook or for other uses. It is heavy duty- weighs just shy of 2 pounds. SWEET antique log rolling hook, for pole mounting, steel body and hook, AWESOME
This old log rolling hook is up for sale. It has a great classic look to it. And probably from the 30's. If you mount this on a long and strong pole, you can hook it into a log and leverage it over. More than on land, they were often used in the water with floating log barges to move logs and roll logs. It's marked from Michigan, and made by the Logging Tool Co. It has some wear, some minor dents, and a lot of miles on it, but it's beautiful to me. Overall length is 15" and the weight is about 3 pounds 12 ounces. I've sold quite a few of these, as you would find more of these here in Oregon than anywhere else. Make a good offer, and you could add this to your logging gear collection. Terms& Conditions of All Sales Everything sold is described as it appears to our inspection. Giving your an accurate description that you can be sure is fair and honest. Any damage, staining, missing piece or other information that is seen or known will be included in the condition portion of our auction listing. If you wish an additional photo, measurement or other information ~ it will be gladly given. Look at all of the photos that are in the auction listing as we do our best to show any imperfections. That being said, everything is sold as is, where is with no warranties implied or written. Shipping We will ship most auction items via USPS Priority OR First Class Mail. Heavier items may include an option for USPS Parcel Post. Items that meet the USPS classification for Media Mail may be shipped as Media Mail. We do not use UPS. FedEx or other shipping given that we live out in the sticks and getting to a drop off location is not nearby. We do our best to accommodate next day shipping once an auction has been paid.
