Year unknown. No title. Bill of sale. manufactured in Chalfont PA by the Asplundh Tree Expert Co. on Hamilton Ave. 12" wide drum. takes 6" material. Has the Ford industrial 172 cubic inch engine. for the past few years was stored in the barn and used in the nursery fields a couple times a year. Its running full tilt in the pictures. Age of battery unknown so figure on possibly needing one in the near future. Tires fair, paint fair. Runs good, will run better with fresh fuel. Slight coolant leak up near the top. looks like the upper hose. have not had time to check it out. No taillights so go to pep boys and buy a trailer or tow kit for 20 bucks. Chips good. Woodsman Extreme 12x wood brush chipper : vermeer morbark bandit rayco
Up for sale is my personal machine. A Woodsman 12x wood chipper. Powered by a John Deere 4.5 Liter turbo diesel making 140hp. Hour Meter shows 654 Hours but was changed when original meter read 1800 hours. So chipper has about 2400 hours on it now. Runs perfect and does not use any oil. I purchased this machine when it had only 74 hours on it. Since then it has only been used by me. The Woodsman chipper is superior to any other machine in its class. By far. Considered a 12' chipper, it actually shames all other 12 inch chippers. This is because of its design and simplicity. Reversing auto feed system stops feeding branch and backs it up a couple inches to let engine recover rpms before continuing to feed. I have a video on youtube of us feeding a huge Elm branch into the chipper. Search for"Woodsman 12x Extreme" by racnruss. ... moreThroat opening is 13"x25" Most 12" chippers have a throat that is 12x12" or 12x17" Check out the photos. It will actually take 2 12" logs at the same time! This translates into much less cutting of crotches to get limbs to fit through the chipper. It will take a much wider crotch without cutting. Plus, the feed roller has Lift and Crush hydraulics to compact brush and pack it through to the knives. The feed roller has not one but TWO hydraulic motors powering it. One on each side-direct drive motors. No linkage to wear out or need adjusted or greased. No bottom feed roller! It doesn't need it with the huge top roller with two motors. That means less moving parts and no bottom roller to get jammed all the time and dribble stuff out onto the ground that you have to shovel up at every job! I owned a Bandit chipper before and absolutely hated that. This machine has a winch to pull heavy branches up to the chipper. I consider it to be priceless. But. If you don't want the winch I will gladly keep it to put on my next machine. And, I will discount price by $2500. So, chipper without winch is only 16,500. I love this machine so much that I actually

Asplundh Commercial Wood Chipper 16" Ford Industrial V8 large tree land clearing
Only 1259 hours on the original working hour meter. Engine runs excellent. Drum bearings are quiet. newer blade change produces a fine chip the 16" wide opening takes hard to chip material easy. No smoke, no noises. Tires are good. Lights don't work. Generator or voltage regulator is bad so it will need a replacement part. I always use a 1 wire alternator they are under 100 bucks and work great. This is the largest Asplundh Drum chipper produced. Great for clearing where a couple guys are feeding it. Payment shall be cash when picked up. If you are sending a shipper, payment shall be bank wire transfer. And you pay for and arrange the shipping.
