Log Chain, heavy duty, vintage, with homemade blacksmith hook.
Heavy Log Chain with the Circle on one end and a hand made hook on the other. The Chain is a little over 8' and weighs 23 pounds. I put a quarter by one of the links in the 2nd picture to attenpt to give a idea of the size of this large Chain. No breaks in the links.

Vintage Leach OSH KOSH Peavy Logging Tool - Cant hook - Log Roller
This is a Leach Company in Oshkosh. Wisconsin logging roller. It is also called a Cant Hook and it is also called a Peavy Hook. This is a model M 15. I went on the web site and looked an they had these tools running all the way up to#14. It was about $168.00. This one has a new nut and bolt replacing the old. I found this in a garage sale. I have been in the buying and selling business for years, I am 65 myself and this was the first time I had the opportunity to by this tool. I could not pass it up. Then I realized that I don't intend to ever do any log rolling, so here you go. The guy who sold it to me was older than I and had a lot of specialized tools. He said that the wood may not look that good but this thing had a lot of log rolling left in it. I have to take his word on that I have never rolled a log in my life except for some ... moretrees that we had to cut down in our yard once and we just cut them us into something we could handle. This is still a good tool as it is but it is also a good thing to hand on the wall and start conversations.

vintage Gifford Wood Co. lumber log wood ice tongs - Heavy Duty
This is a set of tongs that is marked Gifford Wood Co. on both sides. I assume this was used at the Gifford Wood Co. saw mill or in the forest to move logs. There are no other markings on it. These are very heavy-duty. They weigh 3 pounds 3 ounces. The diameter of each handle at the widest diameter is 7/8 of an inch. When fully opened. The jaws are 15 1/2 inch from prong to prong. When closed, they are 1 1/2 inch distance between prongs. This has some insignificant rust on them which I removed with a soft bristle wire brush. Then I wiped them down with WD-40. This is a great set of tongs for moving logs or firewood which is what I use my other two pairs for. Will also be great for lifting large slabs of ice. Or if you just like, hang them on a wall for the character and atmosphere they will create.

This is an old pulp hook which is used in the lumber trade. But can and often is used as a hay hook or for other uses. It is heavy duty- weighs just shy of 2 pounds. It is all metal- the handle is not wood- it is iron. The point is sharp and as you can see, it is painted red. I can find no markings on it. Up for sale is a vintage- The Stickler Vehicle Mounted Log Splitter. This is just for the cone. I believe this originally came with a wheel hub drive adapter. But it is not included. This has a 6 hole lug base. The piece measures 26" tall and 11.5" at the base. From lug center to lug center it is 10.5" Condition is very good used. This is a true vintage D L T Co. Sawyer's Cant Hook which was used by the sawyer in a sawmill to turn the logs on the skid and carriage and note the multi point hook for grabbing on the log bark. The handle appears to have Sturde Tool of Indiana on it and the hook sleeve has D L T Co. and the other side has 61(model? and 2 1/4" on it. This is a great collectible and a tough one to find. 42" Cant log roller handle w/ vintage hook
You are bidding on a 42" Cant log roller. Handle is unused. But has been shed kept for around 15 yrs. Hook is used. But in very good condition, besides the surface rust. The hook is 12 inches long. Still moves, and comes with a shim to adjust fit. These two items were not bought together or did not come together. So some adjustments will have to be made for a perfect fit. Maybe remove the metal shim out of the hole on the hook assembly or shorten the bottom of the handle. Paypal is expected ASAP at the end of auction. Good Luck!

Vintage 5 pound Metal Log Stamp - Logging-Timber-Woods-Logger LC/5 Brand
This is a vintage log stamp for marking the ends of the logs when the logger was felling trees. The brand is LC/ 5. Like many things of the era. It was made by using a 4 pound hammer and welding on the plate with the brand on it. The outside edge of the plate is a brass color. Also stamped into the log stamp it says: warning wear safety goggles on one side and on the other is the number 4, the number 2 and the number 80.
