You are looking at the DYNASPLIT. Vehicle mounted and powered log splitter. Mounted on the rear hub of your vehicle, it works like a giant woodscrew to split the round of wood. It truly is the fastest and easiest way to split your firewood. This heavy duty splitter is much like a Stickler, made in Denver, Colorado, and very well done. The base of the"screw is 4" and mounted on a 3" round pipe coming off of the large hevay 5" base. This is an 8 lug mount but you could use an adapter(not included) to fit it to another vehicle. The 8 lugs are on 6 and 1/2" center and they are 2 and 1/2" from center hole to next center hole. Up for sale is a vintage- The Stickler Vehicle Mounted Log Splitter. This is just for the cone. I believe this originally came with a wheel hub drive adapter. But it is not included. This has a 6 hole lug base. The piece measures 26" tall and 11.5" at the base. From lug center to lug center it is 10.5" Condition is very good used. Screw Type Log Splitter Powered From Tractors PTO - Atom Splitter Log Splitter
Here is a chance to get one of these at a discount- you do not see used ones for sell but I don't burn wood anymore and do not need this. It is for a Rear Mounted PTO Auger with a 2" diameter mounting shaft. I ran it on a 30 HP Diesel Tractor with good results. It is in good working condition and the tip is sharp(you can get replacement tips for it) I used it the year before last but not last year and that is where the surface rust came from. It should slick off the first time you use it. It has use dings in the upper cone but not in the lower screw section. the dings do not effect it's performance. I had to trim the mounting tube to get the mounting bolt holes to line up on my auger. You can see the saw blade marks on the end of the tube. The up side is I saved you the trouble if you have the same type auger and it is not going ... moreto effect it if you don't need to trim it. You will need to buy High Strength mounting bolts and lock nuts to install it- I got mine at the local Tractor Supply- they are just standard high strength bolts. It will come with the original manual which you really need to read before using this.
