Did some internet research. this tool is used by tree"cruisers" guys that preview areas for tree harvesting) and this tool helps them figure the harvest amount per acre. This tool was taken into the shop as trade for silver. and now is available for auction her on Ebay. Checking the internet. I found some for sale. I copied the list below, and have determined this is the"WIDE SCALE" model, which is a bit more expensive. This tool is used, just a bit of rub on the paint,but seems to be in fine shape. When you release the front button, the scale inside swings up and down, until you release the button to"lock" the reading. A few light scratches on the body.
