Logging peavey from the Green Mountains of Vermont-heavy duty, nice one!!
Here is a nice. Heavy duty log peavey that I refurbished while living in Vermont. The main body of the peavey plus spike came from an old lumber mill in Stowe, Vermont-the C.E. and F. O. Burt Lumber Company. I bought the new handle and new hook from Bailey's out west. The handle is made of hickory and is very strong with very straight and tight grain to it. I have 2 of these and have decided to let this one go. Peavey measures 58" long and has a 17" wide bite with the hook open. Also, I used stainless steel hardware so you will have no rusting or binding where the hook attaches to the body! Otherwise good as new. Shipping- $5.80 to USA. actual cost to Australia. I can also ship to Canada for actual cost. The STIHL RAPID™ Duro saw chain features standard-sized cutters with carbide tips. Staying sharp up to four times(my personal experience with my duro chains has been approx 10x longer) longer than standard chains. It is especially suited for cutting dirty wood, treated wood, roots and hardwoods, which would quickly dull conventional chains. This chain must be re-sharpened with a formed diamond grinding wheel.
