This is a Marconi 2024 Signal Generator with problems. It covers 9 kHz to 2.4 GHz. We acquired it with some other equipment at an auction. And our technicians have discovered several problems. We use these things but we do not fix them, so if you can either use it"as-is" or fix the problems this may be a great bargain. The display has some lines through it which make it difficult, but not impossible to read. You can see the picture for details. In addition, the 1 and 5 buttons are not reliable and the output changes amplitude by up to 5 dBm without warning. There are no options installed. Marconi 2031 2.7GHz Signal Generator, Partially Working
This unit works perfectly from 1.35-2.7GHz. Below 1.35GHz the power level is accurate when set to 11-13dBm. But falls rapidly below that. When the level is-3 to-5dBm it is accurate again, and falls again. This repeats every 20dB and coincides with the switching of the attenuator. Not sure if this is a hardware of software problem, but everything else seems to work. Unit has lots of modulation options and a built-in function generator for modulation.
