He was closing down and we thought someone would love to have this for their collection or to use for testing. The outside of the tester box has a few scratches and blemishes other than that the box and exterior components appear to be in good working order. Upgraded Vintage EICO Signal Generator Model 324 Radio Ham Works w/Manual Copy
SquareTrade © AP6.0 This is a nice EICO Model 324 Signal Generator with a copy of the manual. Schematics and probe. It has a copper chassis. There have been no modifications made externally to the original kit. The signal generator puts out a modulated or unmodulated rf signal from 150 KHz to 435 MHz. and is accurate and stable for normal radio repair work. I've checked frequencies up to 30MHz with my digital receiver and they were all fairly close reading off the dial. Should you need accuracy, then couple in a frequency meter or zero beat using a digital receiver. The signal generator provides an approx. 400 cps audio tone that can be selected or an external audio signal can be used instead. All the filter electrolytics. Coupling and by-pass capacitors were replaced and any resistors out of tolerance were also replaced. The tubes ... morewere checked and both test good. The line cord is the original and is in good condition so it remains. All the knobs are original and all function properly. There is one dial lamp and that turns on. There are some scratches on the aluminum frontpiece and a little rust on the metal cabinet, following the cabinet edges. These could be corrected if you intend to use this unit as a collectable. This signal gererator can also function as a low power transmitter. Inputting an audio signal from a source. Digital recorder, tape recorder, etc would allow you to pick up those sounds on an antique radio, perhaps in another room.just as an idea. If you collect vintage test equipment or just want a good signal generator to align your antique receiver. Then don't pass this by. The dimensions are approx: 10" wide. 8 1/2" tall and 5" deep. Eico 322 signal generator parts/repair
Continuing my clearance of testing equipment I never touch is an Eico 322 signal generator. These are nice units and I use a second one in my current radio testing station. I recommend that you use a digital counter with these. As the values do fluctuate over time if you're not up to date with its calibration. Light surface rust on the cabinet but the face plate is in good condition as is the handle and all of the knobs. I've never used the test lead that comes with this unit. So it may, or may not, be good to use. This is a good donor unit for a repair of another, or use it as-is. Check out my other today to see other vintage test equipment. The unit has not been fully tested however it was given a detailed inspection. The unit was plugged in and it does power up. The light meter/ tube on the front comes on. Two probes are included but will need some work. All three tubes are present(1- 6X4. 1-6AQ5 and 1-12AX7) The 6X4 and 12AX7 tested strong. The 6AQ5 was weak. I replaced it with a strong tested tube. All 3 tubes tests strong. All of the dials and buttons moves smoothly and lines up properly with required settings. There are no burn marks or smells emitting from the unit. There is some minor surface rust on unit. Excellent edition to any vintage radio collector and or radio/component repairer. DESCRIPTION Here is a very nice EICO 147 A Signal Tracer. It comes with the audio probe. But I don't have the RF probe for it. Also included is a copy of the manual. Switches, knobs and speaker are all very good. Output transformer works fine and can be used to test a tube amp's output stage. Wattmeter works and is moderately accurate above 40W. This is a fine example of vintage test equipment that you can use in your shop. This signal tracer uses the following vacuum tubes: 6X4. 12AX7& 6AQ5. All of the tubes test very strong with no shorts. I measured the B+ supply at 330V and everything looks like it's working.The eye tube doesn't have the greatest contrast, but is readily readable. This 147 A is in overall good to very good condition- see pictures. There is one tiny chip on the red AF probe jack. MODEL. FEATURES, CONDITION: The Eico Model 315 is an impressive looking piece of test equipment to have on the bench with its large central tuning dial. Black control knobs, dual pilot lighted dial window, and“suitcase” style portability. The instrument was recently serviced, and the old obsolete Amphenol output connectors were replaced with BNC type that will be much more compatable with today’s cables and adapters. The old oozing wax/ foil capacitors were replaced with modern caps of the proper voltage rating, and it was obvious that this piece had seen very little use, as there were no discolored, swollen or stressed components, nor any dust build-up on the beautifully preserved copper plated chassis. The old stiff power cord was replaced with a safe pliable one, and the unit was tested. Generator will prove to be a valuable instrument ... moreto have when aligning radios, etc where you can switch in the on-board modulation circuit or externally modulate a signal on top of the RF signal. RF signal is adjustable from 75 KHz all the way up to 150 MHz in six adjustable steps on the Band Selector. Smoothly geared tuning condenser has great stability, and the dial index mark accurately points to the proper frequency calibrations. Photos of the electronics will show that this unit has a neat layout on a copper plated chassis. Pots and switches have been properly cleaned and work well, with switches positively engaging. The unit has been tested, and the signals are present at all frequencies. The audio test signal is working as well with a very clean sine wave output. Modulation circuit works as well, and it was interesting to have a radio nearby to listen to the beat note and whistling as the IF and RF frequencies were being matched. Cosmetics are excellent overall with a fine gray textured wrinkle finish on the cabinet, clean front panel, and the carry handle is safe and sturdy. It didn't do anything when I touched the output of the Signal Generator. I was expecting some type of audio tone. As a result. I'm selling"For Parts- Not fully Functional" Sold as pictured. An RF probe is included but I'm not sure if it is working. EICO SIGNAL GENERATOR Model 324 w Test Leads&User Manual- Works!
This is a working 1950's EICO Model 324 Signal Generator. Frequency range is 150kc to 435mc in six bands. Having obtained this from an electronics trade school. It is in excellent cosmetic condition, as shown in the photos. Included are the test leads and the original EICO instruction manual. For testing, using a digital shortwave radio and the RF Ext Mod Selector, I was able to hear selected zero beat harmonics on various frequencies from 400khz to 30mhz. All harmonics were extremely close to the dial frequency on the signal generator. The Signal Selector switch is somewhat hard to turn, probably needs some lubrication. Other than that it is a very nice operating signal generator in better than average condition. Feel free to email me if you have questions.Thanks for looking.

Eico 324 Signal Generator in Excellent Calibrated Condition Guaranteed
Eico 324 Signal Generator in Excellent Calibrated Condition This Eico signal generator is in excellent condition. It has been completely checked out and the Eico calibration procedure performed. This generator works very well and puts out a stable modulated signal from the AM broadcast band up to 22 MHZ which was the highest frequency I could personally check with my SW receiver. I was able to check the frequency output up to 70 MHZ with my bench counter and it worked perfectly to that range. The generator is very accurate and I have included a few pictures showing its output into an HP counter. The internal 400 HZ modulation works perfectly. All chassis components have been checked out and the tubes were checked and found to be strong. Most of the old paper capacitors have been replaced with new equivalent components. Out of tolerance resistors ... morehave been replaced. All controls operate perfectly and all pots and switches have been cleaned with contact cleaner. The Eico calibration procedure has been performed and this unit is very accurate. The attenuation controls work properly and provide an infinite range of output attenuation. As you can see in the pictures this 324 is in excellent cosmetic condition and looks and works very well. The case has one very minor dent that cannot be seen in the pictures mentioned only for descriptive accuracy. There are no serious scratches. Rust, paint loss or other signs of abuse. There are no names, numbers, or other previous user added etched or painted symbols. The knobs and case are in excellent condition as is the handle. The power cord has been replaced with a newer and safer industrial type cord. The internal components and chassis look very good and the construction is excellent. This appears to be a factory assembled unit which is usually a better more consistent construction than some of the home built units out there.
