Bliley Model 1A Crystal Controlled Oscillator Calibrator for Vintage Ham Radio
You are bidding on a vintage Bliley model 1A crystal controlled oscillator for radio servicing. Here's one of the handiest little pieces of service equipment for ham radio and vintage radio repair: A Bliley 1A crystal controlled oscillator. The large front dial selects an internal crystal at 175KHz. 200KHz, 262KHz, 370KHz, 455KHz, 465KHz, or 1000KHz. The selected frequency is then available as output, either as pure RF, modulated RF, or externally modulated RF. There's even a socket for an external crystal so you can add your own chosen crystal controlled frequency. Output level is controlled by a range switch and a continuously variable potentiometer. This instrument is very useful for aligning radios and calibrating oscilloscopes or other signal generators. This particular 1A is working on all ranges except as noted below. Photos ... more2 through 6 show the oscillator on the 175KHz. 200KHz, 370KHz, 455KHz, and 465KHz ranges. Output frequency was nearly perfect as shown on my General Radio frequency meter(not included in this auction) I also tested the external jack with a 455KHz crystal and that worked properly too. There are two issues with this 1A: First. The 262KHz crystal is apparently damaged, because on that range the instrument did not produce a consistent frequency. Second. At some point someone replaced the internal 1000KHz crystal with a 100KHz crystal and put a piece of tape over the last zero on the 1000KHz marking. The instrument works properly on that setting, producing 100KHz(see last photo) All of the crystals in a 1A are plug-in types except for the 1000KHz position. So if you need the 262KHz frequency it's just a matter of plugging in a new 262KHz crystal. The 1000KHz crystal is soldered in. So you can either leave that position at 100KHz if that's more useful than 1000KHz for you or replace the 100KHz modification with the correct 1000KHz crystal. It's not rocket science. The original price of the unit was $215.00 back in 52. This item was not tested but was given a detail inspection. The unit was plugged in and turned on. The unit is powered on 120VAC(household current) The white light on the front lites up when power is switched on. This unit contains 6 tubes. All of the tubes were removed. Tested and reinstalled(1ea 6SN7GT-strong, 3ea 6K6GT-strong, 1ea 5Y3GT-strong and 1ea 6SJ7-strong) There are no burn marks, smells or burned wires. The unit appears to be in working order. The operator’s manual is not included. The leather carrying strap on top is worn and will need to be replaced. No test probes are not present. Donner Model 10 Laboratory Audio Oscillator. This acquired in a large lot of electronics from a retired radio repairman. He used this in aligning new electric organs in the 1960's and 1970's he sold through his store… In very good used condition. All tubes were tested and replaced if necessary. A pilot light holder was installed but was not hooked up into circuit(wires were cut) Powered up slowly to 60 volts on a variac. All seems to function… Have not tested recently in service. Working HP Audio Oscillator Model 200CD Wide Range
This HP 200CD was tested working on all bands. You can see it connected to my scope. The Model 200CD and its sister instrument. The Model 200AB, were introduced at the same time in 1952. These new oscillators represented a substantial increase in versatility over previous ones. For example, the frequency range of the 200CD(5 cps to 600 kc) was such that it replaced two of the older HP oscillators. Models 200C and 200D, which were discontinued. This was accomplished without an increase in price. The wide frequency coverage made this instrument very valuable as a general purpose oscillator.

A very coolantique RCA Test Oscillator#150. The item just looks cool with the Bakelite knobs and art deco styling and the bright RCA logo. Its missing 1 knob but the post is still there. Definitely worn but sound. Its not falling apart. I plugged it in and it powers up great.
