I have only a few left and they may have some marks or small scratches. The J103 connector is used to provide power to the R-392 receiver and to provide control of the optional companion T-195 transmitter. Pin Signal Description: A) 28 V B+(Positive voltage) This powers the tube plates. The current requirement is 0.5 A. B) Break-in relay control This signal is provided by the transmitter to engage relays in the receiver to disable the audio output and antenna input when transmitting. This signal is ignored when the receiver Function switch is in the NET position to allow simultaneous use of the transmitter and receiver. C) Microphone Provided to the transmitter from pin C on the AUDIO connectors. D) 28 V Filament(Positive voltage) This supplies the tube filaments and draws approximately 2.5 A. E) Ground(F) Push to talk switch on microphone or Key Passed to the transmitter from pin F on the AUDIO connectors. H) AF output This is the 600 ohm audio output from the receiver and is common with pins A and L on the AUDIO connectors. Manufactured by Stewart-Warner Electronics(1959) Serial#1601. This is a complete ... moreunit with the exception of a missing top panel on the chassis(not an issue if rack-mounted) The radio works on all bands. However could stand to have a complete alignment. Dial lamp and both meters work(Line Level selector switch is a bit"touchy" Cosmetically. The radio is a little rough(see pics) as it was sitting in a storage barn for several years. There is pitting on a lot of the metal parts inside and out. a great restoration candidate! The unit was cleaned up and the gears were lubricated. Gears have smooth operation on all bands and all slugs appear to adjust fine(both MHz and kHz tuning) A broken power supply wire was discovered under the chassis and repaired(red shrink wrap) The power cord was recently replaced with a new cord. All tubes were checked and bad/marginal ones were replaced with new(including both 26Z5W's) or known-good used on others. PTO works fine- BFO tunes(SSB/CW) and AM signals are nice and strong. All IF positions appear to work(AM signals sounds great on 8 and 16KC bandwidth) Frequency counter(may need calibration) But within +/ 3kHz. Audio is loud and clear when used with a high impedance speaker(or matching transformer) The AGC could be adjusted. when operated in MGC, may need to ride the RF Gain to avoid front-end overload(the receiver is sensitive) I have tried to describe the radio in detail. So ask questions before you bid. HERE'S AN EXCELLENT WW II ERA/KOREAN WAR ERA MILSPEC SIGNAL GENERATOR THAT COVERS 2-400 MC. It was probably designed to function with early radar. This model is a TS 497BURR. Serial#2431. It was manufactured my Munston Manufacturing, order 1953. Case is very good and appears to be made out of aircraft aluminum. All handles, latches, etc. are in fine shape and functional. Controls are frequency and vernier 2-400 mc. Modulation percent, external off, 400 cycles or 1 kc. Also, pulse in, carrier out functions. Controls are all smooth operating mechanically. All lettering fine. Inside the unit is pristine. We had difficulty getting the whole case open, but as you can see there are all milspec tubes and the RF section is silver plated. 1Vintage U.S. Army TS-497B/URR Signal Corps Generator
Here we have a Vintage U.S. Army TS-497B/URR Signal Corps Generator Because I am not sure how to use it my testing is limited. It powers up and I have displayed it in the photos switched on and Off. as you can see as I turned the knobs needles started to move. The large knob just requires an Allen key( hex Key) to tighten the grub screw on the stork. the dial moves just need tightening on. Please see pictures for cosmetic condition Because I have no idea what it does or how to use it I can only confirm it powers up and stuff happens to the needles when I turn them. Other than that I have no idea what I am doing. I am therefor selling it AS IS with NO RETURNS and starting the bidding low. I have seen these sell for nearly 300 dollars. Thanks for looking.

Vintage U.S. Army TS-497B/URR Signal Generator With Manual
A used vintage working/ tested TS-497/B U.S. Army Signal Corps AM signal generator 2-400 MHz. Modulation selectable 400/ 1000 Hz/ external with separate switch for pulse input via N Female connector. Signal output is also a female N connection. External modulation input is a phone jack on the front panel. See photos for test results set at about 10 MHz. AC line cord is in good condition with no cracked insulation. Case has been re-painted. Rear compartment contains two spare tubes 6AU6 and a 6AQ5. I do not have the front and rear shipping covers. Other test equipment and cables shown in the photos not included. As any vintage military equipment it may contain dents. Scratches, rust, dirt, corrosion, cracks, oxidation, PCB, agent orange, dioxin, and other substances known or suspected to cause cancer.
