Agilent 8648C w/ Option 1E5. 0.009 to 3200 MHz Unit boots up normally. Then displays Error 512, which the service manual relates to a ROM or RAM read/write failure causing calibration issues. Unit is clean except for a few scratches on the front panel. After Booting up. Unit puts out approximately normal power over the full band except at the low end, where it rolls off below 200 MHz. Output spectrum is shown in the pictures as well as a max-hold spectrum with 100 MHz steps in frequency, then 10 MHz steps from 0-300 MHz. Also checked is the output attenuator settings. When stepping down in 1 dB steps. There is a 5 dB jump around-13 dBm, which is given back about-40 dBm, but otherwise seems OK. I am not an expert on repair, so I have no insight except to assume these issues may be caused by the calibration startup error.
