Nice condition. Turns on and seems to work well. Though I'm not that familiar with operating these. Has stickers with notes inside that it was rebuilt by the lab that owned it in 1971. Another sticker on top. Calibrated in 79' Will be extremely well packed for safe shipment. Thanks.

This unit has been well cared for and maintained. Over the past 36 years. It has seen regular use in our FAA certified avionics repair station, until we closed the business recently. It served as the primary generator for testing airborne Automatic Direction Finder(ADF) receivers. This unit has proven to be amazingly reliable and stable. It was last calibrated(in house) in January 2013. A certificate of calibration is not included. However this unit will require repair as the frequency does not seem to lock, and the output is not leveled. It might be a simple repair but I don't have the time or patience. Marconi 2018A Synthesized Signal Generator. 80 KHz to 520 MHz. Came from the estate of an engineer. Appears to be working. I do not have the test equipment or expertise to test all the possible modes of this signal generator. I did read the manual and connected it to an oscilloscope. Set it for 80KHz, 1MHz, 10MHz, 100MHz, and 200MHz output frequencies. All displayed fine. Could not test at higher frequency because the maximum response of the ocilloscope is 100 MHz. I could change the output amplitude using the keypad. Then only problem noticed was the power switch. It rotates when turning on or off. It does not effect the operation. You just have to hold the switch to prevent it from rotating when turning on or off. I removed the cover and the switch looks like a standard toggle switch mounted to the front panel.
