Vintage Hickok Model 288x Signal Generator Working Test Equipment What we have up for auctions is a Hickok model 288x signal generator. As you can see in the pictures the unit powers up and produces a wave form pattern. I am sure that's not calibrated and need fine tuning since it is well over 60 years old. Before anyone ask. You are bidding on the Hickok unit, the oscilloscope is not part of the deal. What you are getting is a vintage Hickok signal generator that does produce wave patterns. Unlike some you might buy that your not sure of what your getting. The only thing that I noticed on it that need attention was the slip coupling for changing the frequency is a little loose. Here is another piece of test equipment from my fathers antique radio collection. It is a Heathkit IG-72 audio generator. It is in very good condition. Some light scratches on the meter face and a few chips on the cabinet. It does power up the red light comes on and the needle on the meter moves. There is no test leads. Antique Triplett 1231 Signal Generator This is a very early Triplett 1231 signal generator. I'm thinking it is from the 1930's The wrinkle finish on the case is excellent. But the front panel shows some age. It's super clean inside. Also, it has it's original cloth line cord. functional, but should be replaced as it's over 80 years old. I carefully powered it up on a Variac and was able to hear heterodynes as I tuned the generator and listened on a broadcast band radio. This is yet another restoration I planned to do. But didn't complete. As a result it's being sold as-is. Shipping is $18.00 and my items come from a smoke-free home.
