This auction is for a c1931 Number 550 Test Oscillator manufactured by Readrite Meter Works. Bluffton Ohio. The Schematic on one of the pages is dated 10-19-31. These were later called signal generators. The Model 550 provides an RF signal in the AM range of 550 to 1500 kilocycles and below to 130 Kc. It uses a shielded#30 tube to generate the signal. The shield is present. The unit is clean and appears to be in good condition but I am selling as-is since I have no way of testing the unit. Still retains the original Burgess batteries and Lead-Zinc shielding. Components look clean inside. The oscillator measures approximately 12 x 6 x 5.5 inches. Good luck bidding. HP 654A Test Oscillator Up for auction is an HP 654A Test Oscillator. This thing is handy as it has selectable output impedances. Making it useful for testing transmission lines. I have tested this guy and gotten clean signals across the ranges and frequencies. Unfortunately the x1M range does not work. It simply stops outputting when switched to that range. It's likely something simple preventing it from going that high. I received it as part of a large lot of used Amateur Radio and electronic test equipment, including other pieces of this Blue-cased series of Heathkit test equipment, which will be listed in separate auctions. It appears to be in very good condition but is not tested and it is sold as-is- it may need recalibration or other maintenance performed. It requires two- 9V batteries or an AC adapter for power(not supplied) A copy of the assembly/instruction manual is included. The IG-5280 Signal Generator has a built-in 1000 Hz audio tone generator. Output level adjustments are available for both the RF output signal. And for the internal 1000-Hz tone generator. A very coolantique RCA Test Oscillator#150. The item just looks cool with the Bakelite knobs and art deco styling and the bright RCA logo. Its missing 1 knob but the post is still there. Definitely worn but sound. Its not falling apart. I plugged it in and it powers up great.
