Up for auction is the following item: 1 Hewlett Packard 8656B AM/FM/Sine Signal Generator. Used, for parts only. It's mechanically in good condition, not scratched to death. One side handle is missing. There is some writing on the faceplace, though it's just Sharpie and might come right off. Unit powers up; all buttons respond to being pressed, though a few are sticky and could stand a cleaning. The display works, and it appears that all segments are good, though the plastic lenses have a little bit of hazing if you inspect them very carefully. Electronically.well. That's why it's a parts-only unit. If you look at the picture of the bottom of the unit with the cover off, you'll see something very important is missing: the final RF generator! It looks like it was carefully removed at some point(all of the wires were de-soldered, ... morenot cut. It is in very good cosmetic shape with the exception of some spider-web cracks in the right half of the LCD screen.
