Let it sit around and as soon as i decided to connect it, it winked out. could not return(3) 445nm 1w from the original projector- dead(i have heard you can replace a few in a projector with these and the projector will keep running. No idea if its true) 1) 405nm working. Unknown MW(I think 50mw but unsure, the diode with the green and red wire) 2) really messed up c mount diodes(scrap i dont know what these could be for otherwise) 1) 1w 808nm diode unknown condition. This is a 400 watt. 50 Joules max, Raytheon SS-550 laser system built in June of 1985. The Raytheon industrial lasers were the backbone of the Nd:YAG lasers in that time period. These lasers continued to perform in harsh environments when newer machines would fail under dust and temperature conditions that were barely tolerated by sealed systems. We still service these laser system and those clients that have been running them have no intention of stopping any time soon. Most lasers we see come up for sale are missing critical components, worn beyond cost affective repair or overpriced. This laser is fully functional and worth the asking price in parts alone. This laser was run at an average of 120 watts for most of it's working life. This laser was run as needed in a development capacity for the first ten years and then graduated to ... moreproduction for the next fifteen years. We have been in charge of the lasers maintenance since 1991 so anything and everything has been done to keep the laser running at or near factory specifications. The Di and water filters have been replaced every 90 days and full volume of water replaced every year. The front and rear resonator mirrors have been replaced every five years. The rod flow tube has been replaced every seven years. The gold cavity inserts have been replaced every seven years. Flash lamps and lamp flow tubes were replaced as needed. The DC power supplies were replaced six years ago. We stock spare logic boards, capacitors, coils, diodes, SCR's, pumps, rods and so on for the 400 watts Raytheon lasers from 501 to 550 series. This Raytheon was serviced every three months for the entire time it was in operation. The laser is now stored in a climate controlled area. We have the fixed optics that came with the laser. Rofin Sinar Starweld 90 (SW90) 90 Watt Nd:YAG Fiber-Optic Laser System
This Rofin StarWeld 90(SW90) Nd:YAG laser was removed from service while still running in September of 2012. The water pump was weak so it has been replaced by an OEM pump. While replacing the water bump several plastic water plumbing fittings were also replaced with brass or copper fittings. The resonator. Or laser pumping chamber, was totally replaced, O-ring seals, glass, rod, lamp mounts, gasket seals, and we even replaced the lamp insertion tool. There was a small crack in the doublet lens inside the 90 degree processing head so we replaced it with an OEM lens. The fiber optic cable shows signs of wear and tear so we purchased a new fiber optic to be installed during the next start up or installation. The old and new fiber optic cables will remain with this laser system. This SW90 was built in March of 2003 and was run in a single shift ... morefacility from September of 2003 until September of 2012. The laser requires 220 VAC 3 phase at 25 Amps for electrical service. This laser is lamp fired Nd:YAG, 1064 nm, and requires water cooling. We have the manual in hand for the laser. We have two control cables; one with hand held pendent and the other with open ended wiring for integration to a CNC, PLC or custom controls. Having the pendent works well when you have to operate the laser manually for welding, trouble shooting or testing. The connector on the back of the laser makes changing from CNC to pendent very easy. Even though this laser was running when removed from service it was not running efficiently due to all of the listed deficiencies but since the resonator, water pumping system, processing head and fiber are rebuilt or new this laser should perform at or near factory.
