Rotary Beam Shutter Solenoid with a CO2 Laser Mirror This is a kit for a laser beam shutter/ beam delivery control actuator. It's a rotary solenoid with an attachable arm. Which has a CO2 laser mirror at its end. When power is applied to the solenoid, the arm very quickly rotates to it's"up" position, so the mirror is removed from the beam path. When power is removed, the arm returns by spring action to its resting position. This is an important fail-safe feature- if control power is disconnected for some reason, the arm moves into the beam path and stops the beam. A typical arrangement would place the arm with the mirror at 45 degrees to the beam. Plug into 220 A/C. Hook up water cooling loop(see my other auctions for cooling and CNC parts) put on your safety glasses and go. For cooling you can use a 5 gal bucket of water and a small fountain pump, but just for experiments. A low coolant flow cut-off switch and more cooling would be needed for use in a CNC machine(see my other upcoming auctions) Everything is like new and was only test fired for a few minutes to measure output power and to do a few expirements.
