This is from a large group of antique foundry molds etc. that I will be listing over time. These came from the estate of a local man who purchased them years ago from a foundry in Menomonie. This foundry originated in 1898 as the Dunn County Iron Works where they produced castings for sawmills and brickyards. A couple of years later they became the Aetna Engine Works which produced gasoline powerplants for sawmills. In the 1910's the engine work was stopped and it became the Forster Foundry Company. In 1928 a floor drain was started but the depression/stock market brought an end to this. The company now operates as the Badger Iron Works. This group appears to have ... morewood forms/molds from the Dunn County Iron Works. Aetna and Forster. I'm not at all knowledgable about these items so please look the pictures over and ask questions. They seem to be beautifully designed. They maybe useful as well as great pieces of industrial art. Antique Cast Iron Screw In Pulley with 2" Spoked Wheel, vintage industrial
Here is an antique cast iron pulley that screws into the wall. Ceiling, beam, etc. Most of its original finish is worn away. And it has some surface rust. There are also traces of old plaster at the base of the screw. The wheel is 1- 15/16" in diameter. The overall length is 4- 1/2" and the screw is 1- 9/16" long. The wheel is 3/8" th ick. Turns freely, and has a fair amount of play(its wobbly) But it is perfectly functional. This pulley wheel has spokes that add visual interest. If you have any questions. Please ask.

2 Large Vintage Porcelain Industrial Hands - Size 10 - Gloves, Jewelry, Germany!
Up for auction are two vintage industrial hands that are made out of white porcelain. These hands were used in some type of industrial setting to measure the size of gloves. The right hand is a size 101/2 mold that is stamped"ATW Germany. 483/101/2. The left hand mold is a size 10 and is stamped, HCT West Germany, 483/10. Both hands are in very good condition with no cracks. There is crazing around the finger and hand areas of the molds as well as some residue smudges from usage and storage. The thumb area of the right hand glove has a brown substance on the outer thumb area and a few areas of minor chipping, again from usage. The left hand has similar minor areas of chipping and a few smudges, as well. Use them to display vintage jewelry or gloves or as a vintage industrial decoration for your home. Pengo Altec 18 inch diameter auger for a digger derrick crane, 6 1/2 feet long
You are viewing a used 18 inch auger that was used with a digger derrick crane to dig holes for electic poles. The auger has bullet type teeth for digging in hard rock. These are replaceable teeth that you can order in either carbide tipped or plain steel. The auger is 6 1/2 feet long. The hole where you attach it to a hydraulic drive motor or a kelly bar extension is six sided and measures 2 1/2 inches across. It has very heavy duty flighting. Electric cord has few small cuts in cord, they have been taped. Plug end is Ok. Electric motor works good but rubber vibration bushings are getting worn. May need replaced in future. Good old electric motor and compressor. May be o riginal paint on compressor and framing. Belt has some frays but should last sometime being a small motor. Belt/ motor are adjustable by wing-nut from bottom of unit. Wood pulley is Rare and Cool! Compressor at one time had proba bly had a gauge on top of head. Replace it or install bol t.
