There had been a bear skin rug stored in the barrel for years. So never paid much attention to it until recently. I'm not sure how many of these original Bakelite drums might still exist.Thought I would put it on ebay to see if there is any interest. Maybe even for the Bakelite museum? Or maybe it has too many condition issues. The label says BM12919 RED Phenolic Molding Material Bakelite Corporation Union Carbide and Carbon Corporation Bound Roack New Jersey I think it says the TARE Weight is 23. Gross weight was 323 so each barrel held 300# of material(and the empty barrel should weigh 23# It is 36" high and 22" across. Its heavy and bulky. So not sure how I would get it to you.
