Compact portable TEA Nitrogen laser
This is a multi-gas TEA Laser core that operates at ~15KVDC and is used to test various gas mixtures ranging from N2. Neon, Argon, Xenon for spectral and related experiments. When used with Nitrogen the laser produces ~ 350-500 KW per pulse in a ~ 2 nanosecond pulse. Beam size: ~ 2.3 x 1.2 mm. The images shown are various materials that show fluorescence under the 337 nanometer Ultra-Violet produced using N2. Images captured using Kodacolor 400 or similar high speed 35 mm color film using multiple pulses. The laser head uses 303 Stainless Steel electrodes with a first surface aluminized rear mirror and clear quartz output window and features flow thru gas flow. The core can also operate at reduced atmospheric pressure but not full vacuum.
