Up for sale is a very nice and clean air-cooled Argon ION LASER with power supply. The model number of the laser head is 532-TOPO-A01 and it was manufactured in March 2002 by Melles Griot. The model number of the power supply is 150J and it is configured for 115V AC power. The laser has only 492.3 hours of operation(that is less than 10% of the normal life-time of the laser tube) and appears to works flawlessly. I believe this was used for confocal laser microscopy. The laser emits a strong. Bright blue beam. I believe the wavelength of the beam is 488nm but I don't have any means to measure or confirm that. The tube current(pin 26 of the remote connector) shows 400mV and this is equivalent to 4 Ampere(0.1V/A) The reading goes up as soon as the front or back mirror alignments are touched. This indicates perfect alignment of both mirrors ... moreand that the unit operates in light feedback mode. I don't have access to a laser power meter but tried to capture the beam shape on my garage door panel and the unit in operation to show the strong symmetric blue beam. American laser corp 60x argon head and MWK Industries power supply.
I purchased this laser used from the internet several years ago. It does not fully lase but could likely be repaired by someone more motivated. Here's what is included: American laser corp 60x argon head ~650 hours on the hour timer with fan. MWK Industries power supply with key and fan. Cable to connect the two. Status: System powers up- both fans work. AC power indication light lights up. When the keyswitch interlock is engaged. The system tries to lase. Very short flashes of 488nm argon can been seen(and seen across the room, it does lase briefly; this means the mirrors are in alignment) What it needs: Somebody motivated to read the Sam's laser faq extensive section on argon lasers to figure out if it's the power supply or head which is causing this problem. There is a section called"High Pressure Tube Versus Power Supply ... moreProblem" which seems worth a read. But I've not checked any of the steps recommended. Based on the condition and age of this laser. It's sold as-is and is priced accordingly. I'm guessing it will require a bit of service to get online, how much is really unknown. A note on shipping costs: The rough weight and a guess on the box size was entered into ebay; it's likely it will err on the side of more expensive shipping. I will pack and ship this heavy laser for as cheap as I can and refund the difference.

JDS Uniphase 2012 Argon Ion Laser System : 2212 Head & 2112P Power Supply
This air-cooled argon ion laser system was removed from a functional genetic analyzer. It was tested as shown in the photos with the power supply remote connector interlock shorted(pins 1 to 3) and a power level potentiometer added to allow beam intensity adjustment. Beam was well collimated and bright and intensity was properly controllable via the potentiometer. Laser head is model 2212-10MLMA and the Uniphase power supply is model PS-2112P-10MLA. Not shown but included are a copy of the Uniphase 2012 manual and the cooling fan.

Cambridge Technologies CT 6810P High Power Yag Argon Laser Light Show Galvo Set
This is a pair of used galvanometers removed from*VERY* expensive laser engraver. They are Cambridge Technologies 6810 galvo scanners with mirror mounts. One glavo is in very good condition. And the other one has a failing bearing. As they are, they will still work for eye-candy, but not for animation well unless you get a new galvo to replace the bad one. These are very hard to find in working order at a reasonable price- i almost choked on my coffee when i found out how much these cost new! My BIN is less than the cost of one.
