They are configured in the Littrow cavity configuration. The grating used is gold plated. UV blazed at 1800 lines per mm. The collimator is a Thorlabs C230TME-B. The laser diode is temperature controlled with a small peltier‘TEC’ element and a 10K thermister. This is THERMO part number: 470-226800 780nm NIC Laser Assembly The laser controller board allows for adjustment and monitoring of laser diode current and laser diode temperature. Please see picture for those pinouts. This laser requires a dual 12v and 5v power supply to operate. 2 amps current should be sufficient. After power is applied. The leftmost led(CR1) will illuminate green. This indicates the ... morelaser has been turned on and the Thermoelectic TEC cooling system is active. The middle LED(CR2) turns on next. Finally. Once the TEC temperature has stabilized, the right most led(CR3) will illuminate indicating power has been applied to the laser diode. The grating can be adjusted to shift the output wavelength. I measured the wavelength of this particular laser using an Ocean Optics USB2000 spectrometer. It's wavelength was 771nm. Output power has been measured at 52mW. Output power can be adjusted by the LD current set potentiometer. Also. Inside the laser head is a small turning mirror. Replacement of this mirror may increase output power as for some reason the coatings look tarnished. Replacement of this mirror does not effect alignment of the Littman Cavity. It is only used to direct the beam out of the cavity. I also have optics for sale that were used with these lasers. Please see one of the pictures that show how they were used. There is a holographic notch filter. And 2 waveplates. I am not sure if the waveplates are quarter wave or half waveplates. These waveplates have rotating mounts to adjust the polarization.
