High Power Precision Laser Diode Collimator Case Adapters 5.6 to 9mm Lot of Two
These are a lot of two used laser diode adapters for allowing the 5.6mm laser diodes to be used with collimators designed for 9mm laser diodes. Typically the optics used with 9mm diodes are of better quality than the 5.6mm laser diodes. Especially with regards to range of beam, while the newer 5.6mm laser diodes tend to be higher power than the 9mm diodes. These little parts will allow you to upgrade, repair or retrofit older equipment with the newer, more reliable, and more powerful 5.6mm diodes. A good example of a piece of equipment that can be fixed with these and a cheap 5.6mm diode from a laser pointer is a old spectra physics pipe laying laser. This is a very large cylindrical lens used for industrial laser diode welding and heat treatment machines up to 3KW optical power at 808nm+. 15nm. It is part of an optical system that will correct the beam from the arrays to make it able to be focused to about 10mm on the workpiece. The lens will work with other wavelengths up to 980nm and as short as visible ranges, with some attenuation in the green region. This is a lot of 4 high power microchip lasers made by Novalux. They make a 40 watts of power at 976nm in a 1. by 1 cm beam. The laser chips have a line of several 1-3 watt vertical cavity emitters and are pre-mounted on synthetic diamond heat spreader chips. They require 30-40A at about 2V. A very good heat sink, and an external output coupler to work properly. They were intended to be used with a frequency doubler to make blue light for some kind of research application. One of the chips is damaged, but the damage does not reach the laser chip so it may still be usable. I have lots of laser and other unique stuff for sale this week.

Potassium Niobate KNbO3 High Power SHG Laser Diode Crystal Optic Part 455nm
This is a potassium niobate crystal for early experiments with directly doubled laser diodes. It is designed for doubling 910nm laser diodes to make 455nm light. It should be usable to make beams a little bluer to 437nm or all the way to yellow green at 561nm. It would be a good doubler for Ti-sapphire. Alexandrite or similar lasers. The crystal is larger than others i've seen, being about 10x10x10mm. It has some laser damage but a 10x5 area is clear and usable. so any laser with a 4mm beam or smaller beam waist would work fine. One thing about KNbO3 is it is extremely temperature sensitive so a good TEC mounting is absolutely required to use it. This is a rare find, I have lots of laser and other unique stuff for sale this week.

High Power 1W Blue 447nm Industrial Dye Laser Burning Pump Diode Module & 3V PSU
This is a high power blue laser diode module made to pump a small low power tunable dye laser. The laser output is about 1w at 447nm. The laser draws about 2.5A at 3V. The lens is adjustable from a pinpoint burning spot to a fairly well collimated beam that can travel for miles. This laser module must be cooled with a heatsink for constant use. The power output is enough to set lots of stuff on fire. So I am sure you can only imagine what it would do to your eyes if you look in the beam. High power 445nm-450nm laser diode pull from Casio XJ-A240 projector. These will do 1-1.5 Watts depending on how much you push them. They do around 1 watt@ 1.0 A. max for these is 1.6 A. Anything over that and you may get thermal runaway and destroy the diode. Comes with lens in protective capsule and shorting block on the diode terminals. Were removed properly with vacuum de-solderer to leave nice clean and long terminals. Laser glasses HIGHLY recommended. This projector had about 2K hours on it. That leaves around 18K hrs left on the diodes. So with the time left on them. If you ran this one hour a day it would last 49 years and 4 months. A lot of bang for your buck. Up for auction is a Coherent FAP-81-18c-800-B high power laser diode. Part of the Coherent FAP-B model line. Designed for 18W of output at 800nm. This diode uses an SMA connector for coupling to a fiber. The diode is mounted to a TEC with thermistors for monitoring the temperature of both sides of the TEC. This unit was removed from a machine in working condition. It has been stored with the anode and cathode grounded out to prevent static damage and stored in an ESD protected bag. High power 2 Watt + 445nm laser diode pull from Casio XJ Series projector. The finished laser in pics is not for sale. This is to illustrate how you can build an awesome lab or show laser from your own parts. I was not happy with the heat sinking ability of the little Chinese modules available out there. They use a press in diode mount that does nothing for the other side of the diode. I used two back to back press in diode holders and indium foil. That and more copper plates and a one inch fan. This little monster is more efficient than I thought. After testing for 5 minutes it remained cool to the touch even without the fan! In the first pic I did ad a little smoke as it was taken in daylight. The other pic shows it without the smoke. These are ridiculously powerful and hot! I do NOT recommend building a"pointer" from these. They ... moreare just too dangerous. Even a reflection off a window will bounce 8% of the beam back at you. 4% for each side of the glass. To clarify. At 2 watts that would be 160mw. Enough to blind you quick! Great for light show projectors and lab style lasers. This auction is for one 2 watt + laser diode w/shorting block for esd protection and the lens pulled from the same projector only. They will be shipped in an anti-static bag and foam cushioning. The projector these came from had about 600 hours on it. That leaves around 19.400 hrs left on the diode. The photo through my microscope shows the identifying emblem for the 2 watt lasers on the case. The 2 Watts have a circle above the square where the 1 Watts do not. This is a 808nm laser diode that is good for pumping small Neodymium DPSS lasers. As with any other higher power laser diode it can be used to cut and burn very thin materials. But is best suited for IR illumination, and laser pumping. It is extremely well suited for a potent Night Vision illumination devices for very long range use!
