Laser Marker Safety Shutter For CLC and other Nd:YAG lasers
This was removed from a Control Laser Corp. CLC, industrial Nd:YAG laser marking system. The laser was working fine when taken out of service. We dismantled the laser head and are currently working on dismantling the power supply. Several other laser manufacturers used identical or similar mechanical shutter mechanisms to block the laser beam when not in use. This is a common design using a Leedex rotary motor and a steel plate. This also has an indicator light to warn the user when the shutter is open. There are dust boots on both side to support the dust tubes. The three pin barrel style connector is in perfect condition as well.

Nd:YAG Laser Rod 4mm Dia By 80mm Long For A 90 Watt Laser
This is a 4mm by 80mm Nd:YAG laser rod removed from a 90 watt laser system. This rod was removed from an Electrox Scriba laser but could be used in a CLC. Lee Laser, JEC Laser, US Laser and many more laser systems that use a 4mm by 80mm rod. The vernier caliper shows that the actual dimensions are 3.97mm by 79.58mm which is good because the OD may not exceed 4mm diameter and the length cannot go under 78.5mm for most uses. There are no chips or cracks in the surfaces. There is normal wear from producing laser energy in a lamp fired system. This rod has good end surfaces and can be re-polished for like new results. This is a 400 watt. 50 Joules max, Raytheon SS-550 laser system built in June of 1985. The Raytheon industrial lasers were the backbone of the Nd:YAG lasers in that time period. These lasers continued to perform in harsh environments when newer machines would fail under dust and temperature conditions that were barely tolerated by sealed systems. We still service these laser system and those clients that have been running them have no intention of stopping any time soon. Most lasers we see come up for sale are missing critical components, worn beyond cost affective repair or overpriced. This laser is fully functional and worth the asking price in parts alone. This laser was run at an average of 120 watts for most of it's working life. This laser was run as needed in a development capacity for the first ten years and then graduated to ... moreproduction for the next fifteen years. We have been in charge of the lasers maintenance since 1991 so anything and everything has been done to keep the laser running at or near factory specifications. The Di and water filters have been replaced every 90 days and full volume of water replaced every year. The front and rear resonator mirrors have been replaced every five years. The rod flow tube has been replaced every seven years. The gold cavity inserts have been replaced every seven years. Flash lamps and lamp flow tubes were replaced as needed. The DC power supplies were replaced six years ago. We stock spare logic boards, capacitors, coils, diodes, SCR's, pumps, rods and so on for the 400 watts Raytheon lasers from 501 to 550 series. This Raytheon was serviced every three months for the entire time it was in operation. The laser is now stored in a climate controlled area. We have the fixed optics that came with the laser. This Rofin StarWeld 90(SW90) Nd:YAG laser was removed from service while still running in September of 2012. The water pump was weak so it has been replaced by an OEM pump. While replacing the water bump several plastic water plumbing fittings were also replaced with brass or copper fittings. The resonator. Or laser pumping chamber, was totally replaced, O-ring seals, glass, rod, lamp mounts, gasket seals, and we even replaced the lamp insertion tool. There was a small crack in the doublet lens inside the 90 degree processing head so we replaced it with an OEM lens. The fiber optic cable shows signs of wear and tear so we purchased a new fiber optic to be installed during the next start up or installation. We have two control cables; one with hand held pendent and the other with open ended wiring for integration to a CNC, PLC or custom controls. Having the pendent works well when you have to operate the laser manually for welding, trouble shooting or testing. The connector on the back of the laser makes changing from CNC to pendent very easy. Even though this laser was running when removed from service it was not running efficiently due to all of the listed deficiencies but since the resonator, water pumping system, processing head and fiber are rebuilt or new this laser should perform at or near factory. Laser Photonics High Power Q-switched Nd:Yag Laser Burning Eye Surgery Module
This is a high powered q-switched Nd:Yag laser head. It was used in a laser that corrected glaucoma. In particular laser iridotomy. I tested this laser and it works fine. It needs about 600V and 30-100uf. It is internally triggered, so you will need to build a custom made flash lamp trigger/balance coil of 50 to 65 turns of copper wire(air core) with two turns of copper wire as the primary and a 0.1-3uf capacitor charged to 600V. I have a very nice 100uf 750V capacitor also listed that would work well with this unit. The laser outputs about 5mJ with 30uf at 650V. This item is pretty hard to find I have lots of lasers and other unique stuff for sale this week.

This is a great. Very reliable laser that provided excellent service to us. It remained under service contract until we decommsioned due to a change in our needs. It was manufactured by EKSPLA in 2010. It operates at 1064 nm or 532 nm wavelengths. It outputs 1 J per pulse@532 nm. It runs at 5 Hz but can be adjusted to operate up to 9 Hz at a lower output(~0.5 J@ 532 nm) It produces a square pulse with under 200 psec rise time, a 3 nsec flat top and under 300 psec fall time. It requires external cooling but we are willing to supply the chiller at no additional cost. When new it cost us over $250,000. It is located in Livermore, CA.
