There are also notes and numbers written on the top and side of the chassis. One of the feet is broken, the kickstand is ... moredetached, but included. There is tape residue on the top and front of the unit. The modules that make up this signal generator are not bolted or screwed into the chassis and can be pulled out. NEC TWT Travelling Wave Tube type LD-593A. Serial No. 07(main plate) And 032(end plate) This tube is an extraordinary survivor. Listed as'not working' due to it's age. And because I am unable to test it, but from it's mint condition it is obviously unused. However, I guess it is very unlikely that the eventual purchaser will try to use it as a working tube. It does make a great display item for any RF engineer involved with high power RF. Anyone wanting a super piece of vintage industrial art, or a valve/tube collector. Measures 13" high x 12" wide X 6" deep. Weighs 16 pounds. Untested/ not able to be plugged in due to the poor condition of the electrical cord. Center dial works properly. This 1950's vintage signal generator was the cat's meow in the days of B&W TV and it is still a great piece of\ test equipment. I am providing a nice copy of the original manual which contains the schematic diagram and instructions on how to use it. It covers from 100kHz to 60 Mhz. And since it is rich in harmonics, Band F covers 45 MHz to 180 MHz which is the third harmonic of Band E. Has original line cord. Just plug it in and start using it. Four tubes: 12AT7& 12AU7, 6J6 and 6C4. DC is accomplished via a selenium rectifier, thus eliminating a 5th tube. Looks and works great!

Up for auction is an AN/URM26B signal generator. The generator will provide a modulated or unmodulated signal over the range of 4 MHz to 405 MHz which can be varied between 0.1uV to 0.1V. The signal can be modulated at 400 or 1000 Hz. The generator is still relatively accurate. I compared its output signal to an HP8640’s output(To be honest I can not make any guarantee as to the accuracy and/or calibration of the 8640 and HP141S spectrum analyzer) See the attached photos. The first photo is the 8640’s signal(100MHz at-50dBm) and the second is the 26B’s signal. The signal frequency is essentially the same however the 26B’s signal level appears to be about 6dBm higher. I do not have any of the adaptors that were supplied with it. I have included a copy of the user/repair manual. The housing is typical of a piece of equipment of this vintage ... moreand has some dents and paint scuffs and scratches. It is not real pretty. Fortunately this has no effect on performance. Up for auction is an AN/URM25D signal generator. The generator will provide a modulated or unmodulated signal over the range of 10 KHz to 50 MHz which can be varied between 0.1uV to 0.1V. The signal can be modulated at 400 or 1000 Hz. It also has and audio output at 400 and 1000 Hz which can be varied between 0-3V. It has a 1 MHz crystal controlled oscillator for calibration and there is an output for this but I am not sure it makes it to the output connector. The level control pot seems to be dirty or worn and at RF frequencies may not be working right which seems to be affecting this feature. The generator is still relatively accurate.
