Normal 0 Up for sale is a Lodestar RF generator and it will come with the following, Original box Manual AC power cord Alligator test leads The mechanical link between the VFO knob and the variable capacitor stopped working. So I had to tighten up the screw behind the knob to get it working again. Now the“smooth” tuning is not there anymore and it makes it a little bit difficult to get on frequency. This RF generator would make a good general purpose generator if you do not need a specific frequency to tune to. I can only show up 30MHz because that is the bandwidth of my oscilloscope. IFR 1000A Communications Service Monitor, RF Signal Generator
This is a used. Not functioning IFR service monitor. We have owned it for over 25 years and it always worked great, but about 3 months ago, it stopped working, blowing either the AC line fuse or the DC fuse, depending on which source you used. The oven light comes on until you turn on the power, then the fuse blows. I disconnected the internal battery, in case that might have failed, but it made no difference. I am retiring, and have another monitor, so I am not looking to repair this one. My loss could be your gain. It includes the front cover and both the AC and DC power cables. The battery is old and probably not serviceable. We used it on the bench and never used it. The unit is clean, considering it's age. The gaskets are dried out, but the face and case are not scuffed up.

I bought this generator from a seller on EBay who said it was practically new. I found the frequencies from 10 to 12 MHz. 37 to 40 MHz, and above 120MHz were dead. All the rest had beautiful sine waves. I found it had a lot of wasted space inside so l cut the chassis to about half it's size. I also installed a shielded transformer and a circuit breaker. I found the front switch only cut off the secondary of the transformer so I installed a switch in the back that cuts off all the power. When they sell new, you have to adjust the RF amplitude with a screwdriver so I installed a pot with a knob. The bands and good frequencies within those bands are as follows: Range. Frequencies that are Good. 100 KHz to 300 KHz All Good. 300 KHz to 1 MHz. All Good. 1 MHz to 3.2 MHz. It is missing one of 12 captive screws on the face. We did not test this piece. Even though we think it's unused. It has 70-year-old electrolytic capacitors that should be replaced before use. Heathkit IG-102 AF/RF Signal Generator with Manual
A fully restored AF/RF generator thats in working conditon and can be put to use right out of the box. I purchased an original manual to complete this unit and installed BNC AF/RF connectors to bring it up to date. I replaced the 20/20mfd. filter capacitors which removed the audio hum from the unit and tested both outputs to insure proper operation there-after. The BNC test lead was all so purchased new and is included with this unit. We as Americans throw away many items that still have purpose in life and if we will choose to recycle/refurbish and buy those things made in this country we will be a great once nation again.
