1/2" Hi-Vee arborist rope, 30' with eye splice
Nicknamed"tree braid" Hi-Vee Safety Blue(Orange outside) has a 7.000 lb break strength and is only available in 1/2" diameter. Originally designed as an arborist climbing rope, braided Safety Blue makes great leads as well. Wax coated yarns are used in its construction giving it a very supple, nice feel in the hands. The wax also helps to keep dirt out and to make knot tying more secure and untying easier. It is also very strong and rugged. With the core stripped out, it makes great reins as well. It is very difficult to splice; however, this 30' length has a three-quarter inch(i.d. eye splice on one end and a sailor's whipping on the other end. I bought this rope to attach to a halyard for climbing my mast(my bosun's chair required 1/2" line) and used it for two climbs repairing spreaders; however. This shackle is 8" over all. The pin is 1 1/4" X 4 1/2" long. The inside of the shackle is 1 1/4" X 5" The main part of the clevis is 1" thick or across. The stamping on the shackle has 4309B on one side and P58 on the other. I don't know the brand. The pin slides in and out fine and I see no repairs or defects. Vintage USFS United States Forest Service Round Metal Canvas Canteen - Oasis
This is a Vintage USFS United States Forest Service Round Metal& Canvas Canteen. The canteen is in good condition for the years of service and miles this canteen has seen. Everything is original even the strap. The strap is worn were it would have rubbed on the top of a Forest Rangers shoulder. The canvas body has a small hole and lifted edge. See photo's. It is dirty and I sell it as I found it. I leave the cleaning to the new owner, YOU. Made by Oasis, this is marked on the cap. Measures about 9 1/4" round and about 4 3/8" thick.

Nice- older cant hook. Looks very lightly used except for storage corrosion but still carries some original paint. Handle is almost unmarked but does have a 8" long x 3/4" wide flat spot were it was sawn from originally. Surprisingly light for it's heft.

Aluminum body 4" diameter K&E Forestry Compass in leather case made by J.G. Read Saddlery Co. in Ogden Utah. Compass works good and points to north. Flip up sights are 3-1/2" tall and in good shape except that sighting wire is a little bent up. Level vial appears to be dry. I do NOT see a bubble in it. Base of compass is tapped with very fine threads a little over 1/2" diameter. There is a brass fitting screwed into these threads that has a taper socket for mounting on a Jacobs Staff stick. Antique 1/2 scale 1915 era tractor not hit & miss
A 1/2 scale model of a 1915 vintage farm tractor. The tractor measures 6 1/2' X 33" and weighs approx. 500 lbs. Powered by a 4 hp Cushman Binder Engine manufactured in the teens. The engine is connected to a modern day lawn tractor differential. It has one speed forward. Neutral and reverse. The engine has not been restored. But is complete, has great compression and capable of running well. Due to the liability issues that come with manufacturing a product, this tractor is being sold as a static display. There will be a block of wood placed in the crankcase disabling the crankshaft from rotating. Buyer will arrange shipping or local pick up. This is a Leach Company in Oshkosh. Wisconsin logging roller. It is also called a Cant Hook and it is also called a Peavy Hook. This is a model M 15. I went on the web site and looked an they had these tools running all the way up to#14. It was about $168.00. This one has a new nut and bolt replacing the old. I found this in a garage sale. I have been in the buying and selling business for years, I am 65 myself and this was the first time I had the opportunity to by this tool. I could not pass it up. Then I realized that I don't intend to ever do any log rolling, so here you go. The guy who sold it to me was older than I and had a lot of specialized tools. He said that the wood may not look that good but this thing had a lot of log rolling left in it. I have to take his word on that I have never rolled a log in my life except for some ... moretrees that we had to cut down in our yard once and we just cut them us into something we could handle. This is still a good tool as it is but it is also a good thing to hand on the wall and start conversations.

Fresh from an upstate New York estate barn! This offering is for some primitive hand forged logging or ice tongs. These antique tongs have great appeal for decorating. But due to their solid construction, they are still serviceable if one wanted to take them out in the woods for harvesting wood for the camp stove or fireplace. The tongs measure 11 1/4" longs, have a chain link connection, a hand made center rivet and have a maximum opening of 9 3/4" This is a wonderful size for decorating- not so big as to be too heavy for your wall or ceiling. On the other hand, this is a great size for gripping the stove size pieces of wood. The tongs are in excellent condition, heavily made and with a lot of that hand forged appeal. Surface rust makes them brown- as expected.

Vintage Antique Large Blacksmith Hand Forged Iron Chain Hook with Iron Ring
Vintage Large Hand Forged Iron Hook& Eye with Hand Forged Iron Ring attached. Measures 18" long with ring and Hook measures 3 3/4" across with a 3/4" 1" opening. Also measures 1 1/2" wide and is very thick. Measuring 3/8" 1/2" Weighs over 4 lbs. Hook has a slight offset to it- see photos. This may have been an old Logging hook of some kind. I can't quite make out the maker's stamped name. But it could be made by Snow& Nealley of Bangor Maine. This is a'best guess' though. So I'll claim that the maker is unknown at this time. This is a SOLID Iron Hook& Eye with Ring and would look great in your Collection or on your Wall. Thanks for looking.and Good Luck!

Large log tow chain 3/8" 14-15 feet rusted rusty barn find farm decor
Nice old chain with some surface rust but all links are clean and move freely. Measures 15 feet including the hooks. One of the hooks is slightly larger than the other. It has a connector along the length as shown. It has some usage marks as shown in the 4th picture of some nicked and slightly bent links. Large links that look to measure 3/8" thick(see last pic) Weighs nearly 25 pounds. Free Priority Mail shipping within the US.
