This vintage pair of climbing spikes is up for bid. There is no reserve on this bidding. So good luck. Back in the day, electricians and loggers would use these strap-on spikes for pole climbing purposes. The body of them is made out of steel, heated and shaped and fashioned to have the right angle for the spike to bite into the pole as they made their ascent. The straps are very sturdy leather, with a large buckle. These have to be put on tightly, because your life would depend on them. I believe these are from the 60's or 70's. John Deere Snow Plow (3000/4000 Series Tractors)
For Sale is a Front Mount Power Angle Snow Blade for a John Deere 3000/ 4000 series loader. It fit my 460 and 400x loaders and will fit many others with the John Deere loader quick connect. This model is a BW14677 6 ft wide and was sold by John Deere for ~$3.000. I had a welding shop fabricate 1 ft extension to each side to make the blade 8 ft wide to adequately cover the rear tire width when blade is angled. A 30 degree angled blade looses 14% in width. Doing the math reduces the 96" width to 82.5 inches. Specification/ Notes: JD Quick Attach Type- Hydraulic/Operates from Tractor Seat- Must have hydraulic lines and valve- Width 8 ft- Height 21" Blade comes with original hydraulic hose connections. 2010 SC252 Stump Grinder, Dual Wheels, With Vermeer Trailer
Vermeer SC252 Stump Grinder with Vermeer Brand Trailer(TLR25) Trailer has two new tires and rims on it(cheaper to get rims with it than have new tires mounted) I have been the only owner of this machine bought it brand new. This machine is equipped with the Auto Sweep option($700.00 Option) I installed the dual wheel kit for when this machine was operating on softer ground conditions. Each wheel has the ability to lock and unlock(drive or be free spinning) depending on what type of functionality you are looking for. It has electric start and will start no problem in warm or cold temperatures. We have professionally maintained this unit ourselves(Vermeer did the upper and lower bearings though) from day one based on manufacturer specifications. The exception to this is changing the hydraulic oil. They recommend hydraulic oil change out every ... more500 hours which we feel is not necessary. Hydro oil and filter was changed out at 750 hours seeing as though is a sealed system. Both upper and lower drive bearings(the most common wear item other than teeth) were changed out at 850 hours by Vermeer. This unit is equipped with Vermeer Brand Yellow Jacket teeth. This machine has gone through 3 rigid drive belts and the current belt has 125 hours on it. Typically under normal use a belt will provide 300 hours of use we have found. Clutch system is electric with toggle switch. Feel free to ask any questions I will do my best to answer them quickly. You are welcome to pick the machine and trailer here in Hamburg.
