Item: vintage IR(infrared) light source by Welch Scientific Company Used in physics or other science labs to produce an IR light output for experiments. I see some illumination when plugged in. Not sure the wavelength is. This unit predates the merger, when they became Sargent-Welch scientific in the 1960's, it should be 50 years old or so.
