Coherent 501QM-VD-ES This is one. Of only a handful of lasers I know of, that was modified by Coherent for an aerospace company. These units typically put out 3 watts, max. This one is currently doing 4W's of 532nm green output. I just replaced the pump diode with a brand new 18W unit. It comes stock with either a 9 or 12W depending on options selected. Those of you who know this unit will also know how to turn the current up to reach the 5-6 watts its capable of without any additional hardware. Runs in CW mode or q-switched to 80khz. Everything was just gone through by Coherent. Heat sink added to head, optics and components re-aligned and replaced as necessary. If you're looking for a laser for show use, in the lab, or for marking/engraving, I doubt you will find a better one at this price point. Vintage lab IR light source Welch Scientific spectroscopy physics optics laser
Item: vintage IR(infrared) light source by Welch Scientific Company Used in physics or other science labs to produce an IR light output for experiments. I see some illumination when plugged in. Not sure the wavelength is. This unit predates the merger, when they became Sargent-Welch scientific in the 1960's, it should be 50 years old or so. There is some masking tape and a sticker stuck on it. This should come off with Goop remover. Unit measures 6" tall with a base of 5"
