This item is a very small helium neon laser tube. It still works fine and is one of the smallest working hene tubes I've ever seen. This tube needs about 1.000V at 3.5 to 4mA to operate. It would make a nice science fair project if put into a clear plastic case so the tube can be seen running. The first picture is without flash on, the last one is with the flash on. The beam is bright compared to most cheap laser pointers, and is a much prettier shade of red. I have lots of laser and other unique stuff for sale this week.

The trigger generator requires 24VDC at several mA and the rep rate is adjustable from a few Hz to 20Hz. Output power is 80KW peak for a few nanoseconds and average at 20Hz is approximately 10mw. The beam is a square of several mm and is visible only because 80KW of 337nm UV laser will make just about anything fluoresce. If it is of interest to you, this laser was found at the estate sale of a scientist(I don't have his name) whom I was told held more patents in holography than anyone else in the USA. You will notice that one of the plastic feet on the laser housing is mis-matched, and one of the feet on the exciter is missing, both being minor flaws. An aluminum mounting plate on the bottom of the laser housing is drilled and tapped 1/4-20 to fit photographic tripods or other equipment. Gold Clad Far IR Gas Laser Cavity Folding CO2 Pump Mirror Coherent Optics
This is an unusual mirror assembly that was used to fold a Co2 laser beam into the cavity of a far infrared tunable gas laser. It had a small tunable waveguide laser on one side and the far IR laser tube on the other. The mirrors are 1.5x1cm and are integral to the aluminum part. Cleanly pulled gently used part. I have lots of lasers and other unique stuff for sale this week.

Beryllium Oxide Thermo Laser Physics Nitrogen Gas Plasma Tube High Energy
This is a plasma tube from a small transverse discharge nitrogen laser. The tube appears to be almost used. But has a small chip in the OC end. It could be refilled with other gases to experiment with different types of plasma when zapped by extreme high current pulses of electricity. The electrodes inside are made of platinum and bronze so you can put almost anything in it without worry of fouling the electrodes. At the sort of energy density typically used, almost anything you fill it with will create a laser beam. One neat use of it would be to replace the optics with CO2 mirrors and fill with a near atmospheric fill of CO2 laser mix. This would make a powerful laser that could burn stuff in a way that would would make similar physical sized pulsed ruby or Yag lasers look like a sparkler compared to a welding torch. The tube is about 4-5/8 ... moreinches long and 3/4 inch diameter. This item is pretty hard to find. I have lots of laser and other unique stuff for sale this week.

And the power supply model number I'm guessing on because it's virtually impossible to see the numbers for some reason. Cosmetically the laser is in great condition and the power supply's sticker looks a little tattered but the unit overall is fine.
