Indicator Lamp Assemblies, White Lens, For Incandescent Bulbs, Drake, 5 pieces
This auction is for five(5) NOS Drake Indicator Lamp Assemblies. Part No. 5305-482, each complete with mounting hardware and a white lens cap. These are rated for 3W. 125 volt, applications. The intended slide base(wedge style) lamp is a type 120PSB. I also tested the sockets with a type 16ESB lamp(see photo with a red based lamp) It worked fine except that the 16ESB lamps are shorter than the 120PSB and once inserted fully into the socket. The 16ESB lamps are very difficult to remove. I have some 16ESB lamps for sale in another auction. These assemblies were bulk packed as industrial surplus. But are in new, unused condition. They may have some dust from storage. Each assembly is complete with the lamp holder body itself, a white lens cap, a toothed lock washer, a flat washer, and a knurled nut. A mounting hole of 3/8" nominal is required ... morefor mounting. Although there is no anti-rotation key, the body of the lamp holder does have flats which allow use of a 7/16" wrench for holding the body while tightening the knurled nut(see photo) Electrical connection is made via a pair of.187 tabs which can either accept quick-connects or soldered wire connections. The lamp holder bodies are made of a plastic material and the mounting hardware is metal. There seems to be some difference between the knurled mounting nuts. In that some appear to be black, like the lamp holder body, and others have a somewhat purplish tint. These are as received, so it appears that the variation in nut color was normal. The bodies have various date codes, but many are marked"5-34" I believe this to mean the 34th week of 1975, as these were part of a lot of parts and equipment obtained from that era. I spot tested a few of the holders with 120PSB lamps, and they worked fine. NO LAMPS ARE INCLUDED. As stated, they also worked with the 16ESB lamps, but those were difficult to extract because of their shorter length. Lot of 3 lens assemblies believed to have been used with a multi-spectral F.L.I.R Camera or imager possibly for Thermography. We do NOT have the camera/ Imager that these lenses came from and we are not very knowledgeable about optics or optical systems. The Breault Research Organization in 1989/ 1990 fabricated these lens assemblies probably for the Hughes Aircraft Company(Now Raytheon) and all referenced as S/N# 1541. The box for the longest lens in the attached photos in marked Pyris F/6 diverger and we believe the lens material is ZeSn(Zinc Selenide) and that it may be utilized in the 2um– 20um wavelength range.
