This Hewlett Packard(HP) 5518A laser head(transducer) is very good condition with a measured output power after warmup when locked(READY solid) of more than 330 µW and REF frequency of around 1.9 MHz. It locks normally with clean REF and MEAS signals. And has been tested fully by Laser Sam of in a monitored interferometer setup for at least 8 hours. The 5518A has a built-in optical receiver and is compatible with the 5508A Measurement Display. However. It may be used like a 5517A in a multi-axis setup with external optical receivers. The photos above are of a typical HP-5518A laser but the actual laser for sale is very similar. As can be seen. It is in very good cosmetic condition, showing at most minor scratches and/or dings on the cover from normal wear.
