It locks normally with clean REF and MEAS signals. And has been tested fully by Laser Sam of in a monitored interferometer setup for at least 8 hours. The 5518A has a built-in optical receiver and is compatible with the 5508A Measurement Display. However. It may be used like a 5517A in a multi-axis setup with external optical receivers. The photos above are of a typical HP-5518A laser but the actual laser for sale is very similar. As can be seen. It is in very good cosmetic condition, showing at most minor scratches and/or dings on the cover from normal wear.
