Large plano convex lens, Bausch & Lomb?
This lens is 6" across and about 5/8" at its highest point and is very clean and in good condition. There's a really tiny nick on the edge(photo 3; the blob at the top of the picture is my thumb) which is hard to photograph- it's more easily felt than seen. Etched in tiny print is: BL 51-86-25-DATE 5-71(photo 4; again hard to shoot) The L is below but overlapping the B- I'm assuming this is a Bausch&Lomb product but couldn't confirm that the BL logo was used by them.
