This is a Presonus Central Station studio monitor processor with a custom-built power supply. This is one of the original Central Station units that used the proprietary 5-pin power supply. The 5-pin power supplies(16vac+9vac) are no longer made. So I custom built a power supply for this using three transformers. I used the schematics obtained from Presonus to build the power supply. The unit powers on perfectly and passes audio. The LED meters light up with the level of the unit. The custom built power supply was built for 120vac usage only(standard US power) It is not meant for 220vac usage without the use of a step-down transformer. 2004 DIGIDESIGN 24 CONTROL CONSOLE FOCUSRITE FULLY SERVICED REBUILT POWER SUPPLY
Beautiful condition 2004 model Avid Digidesign Control 24 Pro Tools. Model MC124. This unit is gleaming with just a few light marks and scratches. This unit was well cared for and came from a smoke free recording studio in Burbank. Calif. The rubber trim does have normal scuffs and marks as all of these have. This is a manufacturing defect that ALL these units have. The rubber on this one is in excellent condition, better than a few I have had in the past. I had this completely serviced at ADVANCED MUSICAL ELECTRONICS IN WEST LOS ANGELES. This is the only authorized Digidesign service center in the entire Los Angeles area. Terri. The shop's owner, said the power supply needed to be rebuilt as they recommend on must normally used Control 24s.that come in the shop. I had it done so this unit is in like new condition. Terri said he gets ... moremany of these that were bought on Ebay and shortly afterward the power supply needs to be rebuilt, it starts with intermediate power breaks and then the unit is unusable. There is hardly anything else these units need other than the power supply being rebuilt, they are extremely well made. Having the power supply done is like having a new engine put in a car. This unit was so clean and no other real problems were found other than a fader that needed attention and a transport button(5 buttons with the red record colored button} that had a crack. Terri replaced the transport button set with a mint one he had in the shop. There is some fading on the numbered button set on the right, see photo 17. This Control 24 is still under a 90 day warrany, with over 80 days left. You would need to be in the Los Angeles area to take advantage of this warranty. A copy of the itemized service bill will be included with the unit. This is mechanically and electronically perfect in addtion to being near cosmetically perfect.
